We provide comprehensive gateway, healthcare training to future health and social care workers as well as helping them with job search following their training. We also provide in conjunction with our partners, access to funded National Vocational Qualification in Health and Social Care to healthcare assistants. We organise practical/work placements in good healthcare homes for prospective students and staff during their training. We liaise with home managers to arrange a suitable time for when your NVQ assessor can assess you at work. Our registered nurses of different specialties would have been thoroughly vetted against the Nurses and Midwifery Council register. They would have provided satisfactory references from their employers and would have undergone our rigorous registration process. We are an umbrella body with the criminal records bureau and therefore able to assist other organisations to apply for DBS for their staff. We provide continuous developmental courses for interested participants, in order to improve their healthcare knowledge and meet their statutory obligations. Our registered nurses are regularly encouraged to update themselves by attending continuous developmental courses such as: Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation, Principles of Moving and Handling, Infection Control, Pressure Sore Management amongst others.

We work mainly in Barking & Dagenham, and now across a lot of East London, offering a range of dedicated services aimed to support our service users, engage and enable the community. Thus, we strive to empower individuals of all ages and ethnicities to become valued members of society. About Us Excel Women’s Centre, CIC, is community hub that has an open door policy and provides services to all women, children and families residing in the London borough of Barking & Dagenham and surrounding boroughs. The centre offer help to vulnerable women and their families to fight discrimination demand their right and increase their self-esteem and confidence within our multicultural society. Empowerment is the key focus of the organization throughout. With empowerment, more services will be provided and service users will gain the skills and encouragement they need to change their lives. By developing as an organization, service users will be able to see a range of activities materialise in the area of mentoring programs, youth projects, IT clubs, Job clubs, Parenting classes for new mothers, healthy eating sessions and many more specifically suggested by the service users. Excel Women’s centre would like all our services users of the organisation to be able to integrate into Barking and Dagenham borough as well as all around London and have the same accessibility to services that everyone else has in London. By working in partnership with service providers, voluntary and community groups, Excel Women’s Group will lead the way, by illustrating that marginalized communities can integrate into society and become part of the community at large. The group will strive to break down barriers in the area of language by holding English Language Classes and breakdown social exclusion by involving community members in various training schemes and volunteering projects which can help their future ambitions. WHICH ORGANISATIONS: Brought heads of private sector organisations, public sector bodies, political leaders and leaders of NGOs together into a collective learning space. Their common goal was the desire to have a positive impact on their organisations, their countries and their region. We have held these across Sub-Saharan Africa as well as within the region of Southern Africa, Asia (drawing people from India, Bangladesh, Pakistan and Malaysia) and Latin America. WHO WE WORKED WITH: Leaders, influencers and manager from a diverse cross-section of sectors and occupations. WHAT WE DID: Offered established leaders from the public, private and voluntary sectors who are at or near the CEO level, an opportunity to transform what they and their organisations do. This was done using transformational leadership theory and experiential learning techniques to enable cross-cultural conversations and mutual learning. This enabled each individual to draw on new techniques and cross sector experiences to develop their thinking and practice. OUTCOMES: Leaders who lead with a greater sense of themselves, the systems they work in and the wider network of leaders that they can both influence and draw on as a resource. Shifted the way leaders see their responsibility and accountability not only to their organisation but to the wider context in which they work. Created a network of leaders who together are committed to make change.
