We work together to maintain the integrity and fidelity of the Protective Behaviours (PBs) Process. We build partnerships that create and innovate new ways of working with Protective Behaviours to help us to reach everyone. What is a Multi Academy Trust (MAT)? An academy is a school which funded by central government but run independently from the local authority. An academy doesn’t have to follow the national curriculum or keep to usual school holidays. A multi academy trust is a group of academies working in partnership as part of a single organisation called the trust Crompton House Multi Academy Trust was established to improve and maintain high educational standards across a number of member schools. Through collaboration and partnership, the member schools are able to share expertise and resources. The trust has responsibility for the overall governance, finance and performance of the member schools. Approximately a third of publicly funded schools in England are now academies (22 per cent of primary and 70 per cent of secondary schools), rather than maintained by local authorities. The idea of schools sharing provision and learning directly from each other is a powerful one and something which has been an ambition of government for at least the last 20 years. The NSN is a company limited by guarantee which is owned by its members on behalf of the nine provider networks spread across the north of England. The company’s primary purpose is to promote & represent the interests of its member networks. In addition, the company aims to ultimately be a single voice for skills across the North of England. The Northern Skills Network Ltd (NSN) is a not-for-profit organisation and Its aim is to represent training and education providers from all persuasions across the north of England and promote the value of vocational and technical education, especially apprenticeships, to employers and other important stakeholders. Its members consist the nine providers networks across the north including: North East, Tees Valley, Cumbria, Lancashire, Greater Manchester, Greater Merseyside, West Yorkshire, Sheffield City Region and Cheshire and Warrington. In all NSN represents over 300 providers, ranging from FE Colleges, Independent training Providers, Universities, Local Authorities and 3rd sector charitable organisations. As the name implies, NSN is both aligned to and supports the Northern Powerhouse agenda and is passionate, through its members, to play its part in increasing the productivity and prosperity of the north through increasing the skill levels of both young people entering work for the first time and existing employees within the workforce.

Canon Slade School and St James’s CE High School came together as convertor academies with the ambition to secure best practice, uphold the positive aspects of tradition and a provide distinctive Christian education for our families. We were delighted to welcome Bolton St Catherine’s Academy in May 2018 as a sponsored academy and Bury Church of England High School joined us as a convertor academy in January 2022. Peculiar Generation Services Ltd is a non-profit organisation limited by guarantee. Their vision is to contribute to the development of the Lancashire community by way of offering their services to the needs of people in the community. Our focus is on how to help rough sleepers, drug-addicted people, young and middle-aged people going through challenges of life. We believe that everyone has a right to shelter in Lancashire, therefore there must be alternative to streets for everyone in the community. This is possible if the community can support the government by contributing their quarter towards the eradication of some of the challenges confronting the grass root. Our aims and activities are to provide shelter for homeless and rough sleepers during cold weather between December and March of every year. During this period we will accommodate them, feed them and provide enabling environment for them. Our research discovered that young adult is now engaging with the drug without caution. It is our concern to have a society that is free of violence and the way we can tackle this seeming problem is to nip it in the bud by way of engaging this young adult through seminar and training. Adults. We will design a program for these people that have gone through abuse and still going through figment of imagination which has caused them depression.

Swing Dancing is a term used for a collection of vintage dances dating from the 1920s/30s/40s which are danced to Swing music. The dances frequently included under this banner are: – The Lindy Hop – Charleston – Jazz – Balboa – Collegiate Shag Each with different origins, these dances found an equal meaning to the music of some of the greatest bands and singers of the early 20th Century including Count Basie, Ella Fitzgerald, Chick Webb, Duke Ellington and many, many more. After a period of obscurity lasting several decades, a resurgence in Swing Dancing began in the 1980s and has continued to grow in popularity ever since. These highly musical and energetic dances continue to bring joy to many people on the dancefloor and never fail to get the feet of spectactors tapping. What do we do? SwingOut Manchester is an organisation which aims to encourage people to join the fun-filled, energetic and friendly world of Swing Dancing. Launched in 2017, SwingOut Manchester is on a mission to bring the Lindy Hop, Charleston and more to the city of Manchester. Offering weekly classes in these vintage dances as well as lots of opportunities through workshops and socials to get out on the dancefloor, meet new people, and discover the huge community of Swing Dancers across the country and the wider world.

Manchester Environmental Education Network, or "MEEN" as it is more commonly known, is dedicated to supporting teachers, organisations and individuals working to promote environmental education and Education for Sustainability. To achieve this, we use a variety of methods: we run projects with schools, organise networking events, provide a termly newsletter and pool various free curriculum resources on this website. MEEN began life in 1994 as an informal organisation. It was run voluntarily by teachers who wanted to bring environmental issues into their teaching practice. Today, MEEN has become an independent charity. In January 2001 a coordinator was employed to support and build the network. Since then, MEEN has provided a range of CPD services, training sessions and networking events, conferences and numerous projects around sustainability with schools and educational providers. MEEN is now over 20 years old and still upholds its core values: it was set up to support its members and to promote the sustainability agenda within schools and to agencies working with schools. The first edition of Beehive, the MEEN newsletter, was produced in 1994, and despite a few changes in its format, continues to be produced today. MEEN has undergone two significant changes due to the impacts of austerity. Firstly, our remit changed from serving the city of Manchester to cover Greater Manchester. MEEN has always had members from schools in other parts of Greater Manchester so it seemed appropriate, especially as services in the other nine Council areas were being reduced, to widen our remit. Secondly, we now focus increasingly on projects working directly with schools either through the curriculum or working with young people in their Eco Committees.
