An Inclusive Future CIC is a small not-for-profit organisation with big ideas to make a positive difference working with local communities. AIF CIC Directors have extensive professional experience (through previous and existing external paid roles) of effectively engaging with communities facing a wide range of disadvantage and barriers to social inclusion. AIF CIC has to date been involved in a wide range of projects including Peer Mentoring and Social Care Support Plans in West Lancashire. Due to the professional experiences and values of the Directors, AIF CIC is now very keen to broaden its support services due to the clearly growing local community need and the increasingly negative impact of economic austerity and cuts in public services. AIF CIC also believes the organisation can offer a very flexible approach to working with different communities of interest, as the Directors collectively have extensive experience working with children and families, vulnerable adults, adults with mental health difficulties, ex-offenders and prisons, unpaid carers.

The success of RVAA that started over a decade ago is nothing short of remarkable. The academy started with just six members and now has over 400 and a whole load of accolades and achievements. Former dancer Toni began RVAA 12 years ago in clitheroe, operating from school halls but the organisation quickly outgrew them. We want everyone to enjoy gymnastics, its such fun very friendly and great for building social confidence. The academy started purely as artistic but Toni went on to add rhythmic gymnastics to the class timetable. As it has flourished RVAA now offers disciplines in Men, Womens, rhythmic, pre-school & general gymnastics. New to our timetable will be Parkour. The members of RVAA have the opportunities at regional & national level at various competitions throughout the year. With a current coaching staff of 12 fully qualified British Gymnastics coaches, 6 junior leaders & 4 qualified teachers.

The British Ju-Jitsu Association was originally founded in 1956 by Soke James Blundell (22/12/21 to 13/11/89) and was later re-constituted in 1988. It included other affiliated Ju-Jitsu associations from around Great Britain. Together, these clubs and associations approached the British Sports Council (now the UK Sports Council) to establish a single Governing Body for the Martial Art of Ju-Jitsu in this country and as a result, since 1993, the BJJA became the British Ju-Jitsu Association Governing Body, or BJJAGB. This Governing Body oversees all aspects of Ju-Jitsu in Great Britain such as, establishing codes of conduct, standard practises, competition formats and rules, arranging group insurance policies for clubs within the Association, and certification of teachers and competition referees as well as registration of new clubs. Sports Coaching certification for Martial Arts instructors is backed by the National Coaching Foundation, known as “Sports Coach UK”. It is through them that the BJJAGB is able to arrange for full Professional Indemnity insurance for all registered coaching instructors teaching Ju-Jitsu within the BJJAGB. As the independent voice of UK sport, the Sport Recreation Alliance is the umbrella organisation for the National Governing and Representative Bodies of sport and recreation in the UK. It speaks and acts to promote, protect and develop the interests of sport and physical recreation at all levels. The Sport Recreation Alliance is at the forefront of sports politics, providing support and services to those who participate in and administer sport and recreation and is completely independent of any form of Government control. They have no responsibility for allocating funds and are strictly non-party and will support or oppose proposed measures only on the basis of their perceived value to sport and recreation.

In 1988 a group of local women from Blackburn & Darwen identified a lack of provision for support services for victims of domestic abuse. Support from the council enabled the group to open a 2 bedroom refuge and employ a refuge worker in 1989. In 1998 the Wish Centre was opened and provided direct access and a helpline to women in the borough. In 2014 the organisation changed its name from Blackburn Women's Aid to Blackburn & Darwen District without Abuse as we now offer support to male and female victims.
