The International Society of Performance Analysis of Sport ( ISPAS ), and its predecessor the International Society of Notational Analysis (ISNAS - 1991), was founded to improve the international cooperation in the field of Analysis of Sport. Obviously, the internationalization of this discipline is of great importance for the exchange of views, the discussion and presentation of current research results as well as the realization of joint research projects. Until now the Society has existed quite informally – its main purpose was to ensure the continuing excellence in its World Conferences in Liverpool (1991), Cardiff (1993), Turkey (1995), Porto (1998), Cardiff (2001), Belfast (2004) and Szombathely, Hungary (2006). But now with the rapid growth of Performance Analysis as a discipline and career, there is a need for the Society to assume more formal responsibilities. The Society now has the following purposes/objectives: dissemination of scientific knowledge concerning performance analysis of sport providing a forum for the exchange of ideas bridging the gap between researchers and practitioners gather and disseminating information, scientific knowledge and materials on performance analysis of sport counselling other organisations in questions of performance analysis of sport Representation of computer science in sport in other scientific associations It's tasks are: Editing the e-journal, the International Journal of Performance Analysis of Sport (eIJPAS) Organization of 2 – 3 workshops each year, preferably rotating the venues internationally. Maintaining the web-site as a forum of communication for performance analysts and/or any other interested parties. Manage the organisation of the World Conference at different venues around the world, bi-annually when possible. Monitor the scientific content of the papers and presentations at the Conference, and produce the Proceedings Organise and manage accreditation and registration of Academic Performance Analysts and Consultant Performance Analysts of sport

An Electronics engineer by training, he spent his early career working on automotive and aerospace control systems for Lucas Research. In 1987 he was trained by Shin Taguchi(of ASI) in Taguchi Methods and was subsequently involved in its implementation within Lucas. He took the opportunity to bring Taguchi Methods to a wider audience by joining ASI in 1989 and quickly expanded his training portfolio into QFD and other Continuous Improvement areas. In 1996 he was trained by TRIZ Master Victor Fey and more recently successfully achieved MATRIZ level 3 certification, following extensive coaching by TRIZ Master Sergei Ikovenko. With colleague Ray Greenall they built up a successful Six Sigma training business that was taken over by BSI Management Systems in 2006. Simon left BSI in 2007 to establish SCB Associates Ltd. North Yorkshire Youth is a charity that dates back to 1941. Lady Crathorne, who was a prominent youth worker in the years leading up to World War 2 founded the North Riding Association of Youth Clubs and used the grounds at the family home, Crathorne Hall to put on activities, mainly for young girls. Lady Crathonre remained closely connected to the charity for many years and was President up until her death in 1965. We have had numerous presidents since but we are immensely proud to have her son, Lord Crathorne as our current president, and long may the family connections remain. Since 1941 we have been called The North Roding Association of Youth Clubs, North Yorkshire Youth Association (Circa 1974), Youth Clubs North Yorkshire (Circa 1987) and are now known as North Yorkshire Youth (Circa 2006) Through our history we have helped 1,000’s of young people realise their potential. Be that through youth clubs, bespoke programmes, volunteering and experiencing the outdoors at Carlton Lodge. It was 1970 when we were given Carlton Lodge to provide space and a place for young people. The then Director worked with young people to develop the site . We had the honour of being officially opened on 6th July 1971 by HRH Princess Margaret and the site has been continually improved since then. The Bunkhouse arrived in 1983, the Stables were converted in 1992 and the Sports building was completed in 1998. We have added Outside facilities in 2006 along with our amazing High Ropes Course and the last major capital investment was our Boat House in 2013. Lads Like Us are a Manchester based non-profit organisation. Our journey started with a mission dedicated to informing the practice of professionals and organisations that had failed us as children and adults. We had to make something positive out of our lived experience, chaos and anger, in order to thrive. Shouting and screaming about failures and trying to hold people to account made us mentally ill. We needed to adopt a new approach that would help " Us and them " that was our first problem. In order to break barriers between " Us and Them " we needed to work out a way to weaponise the empathy of professionals to allow them to see that the majority of the behaviours displayed by service users/clients/citizens/people are a direct result of some kind of trauma experienced throughout their lives. These people we refer to are lads like us, from similar estates we grew up on, that are repeatedly presenting at mental health units, substance misuse services, prison and probation. The answer to our problem was to create a trauma informed training package focusing on professional curiosity that would inform practice, using little Mike and little Danny's experiences combined with the healing journeys of both not forgetting the input from the services that supported us. " The Million Pieces Experience " an NHS safeguarding award winning Trauma Informed package that has proven to inform the practice of professionals was created. We then partnered with Barnardos to create Million Pieces Trauma master classes. Lads like us deliver bespoke packages across the country and are now recognised UK wide as a leading Lived experience resource for organisational staff development for those who work with people who have experienced trauma. Lads like us work with leaders in the safeguarding sector both public and private through their consultancy work.
