Learning Solutions is an organisation established in 1996 to help individuals to reach their true potential through the use of developmental movement, sound stimulation and perceptual motor programmes. We are proud to be the International Representative for Advanced Brain Technologies, creators of The Listening Program® and other neuroscience-based music programmes. Information is vital to make sure people enjoy their rights. This is why in our organisation we place special emphasis on our outreach activity. We organise online and face-to-face information sessions about the EU Settlement Scheme and the impact of Brexit on EU citizens rights for different audiences. Since our foundation, we have organised more than 70 information sessions, visited more than 30 locations in Scotland and spoke to hundreds of EU citizens, employers, local authorities and third sector organisations. Outreach and drop-in clinics for EU/EEA/Swiss citizens and their family members These sessions are aimed at informing attendees of the measures they need to take in order to remain in Scotland after Brexit. Although not exclusively, we organise this type of session focusing on three main sectors: ? EU citizens living outside of Scotland’s central belt ? EU citizens, anywhere in Scotland, requiring interpretation ? Vulnerable EU citizen groups and individuals, throughout Scotland. This type of support is extremely important for EU citizens in Scotland who are concerned about what would happen to their rights after Brexit. As we know from our previous outreach and information work, there are still many EU citizens who are not sure about how to apply, have faced difficulties in making application or simply don’t know that they have to undergo this process to reside legally in the UK after 30/06/2021. In these sessions, attendees learn what the EU Settlement Scheme is; when and how to apply; their rights as an EU citizen living in Scotland; and services and resources to support them. Depending on the type and length of the event, attendees needing help with the application process can either book individual appointments with a trained OISC Level 1 (limited to the EUSS) adviser or get help on the spot.

Southgate Mosque was founded in 2021 as a non-profit organisation dedicated to providing prayer facilities to the local Muslim community. Southgate Mosque and Community Centre Ltd is a Registered Charity in England and Wales with charity number 1201327. We opened the doors to the Alan Pullinger Centre in Southgate for Jumuah prayers in November 2021. Within a few weeks, numbers had grown through word of mouth, and less than a year later, we were at full capacity. Our community Iftar event during Ramadan was over-subscribed, and over 400 people attended Eid-ul-Adha prayers in Groveland’s Park. There is a growing Muslim community in Southgate and surrounding areas (Oakwood and Cockfosters) made up of a varied demographic, ethnic and socio-economic population that makes an essential contribution to the fabric of the area. Our social, spiritual and educational needs continue to grow and hence the urgent need for a mosque in the area. We now have a unique opportunity to acquire a truly spectacular building set within its own extensive 3 acres of grounds in the heart of Southgate. The building itself is Grade II listed and is of special interest to English Heritage. If we were to succeed in establishing our centre here, we would be able ensure that in addition to meeting the current needs of local Muslims, we would be restoring a valuable asset within the local area, and would secure a legacy for generations to come. This project will not be easy and will take time, however it will only be possible with the support and contributions of the local community. We therefore appeal to you to donate generously and help us in whatever way you can to secure a unique legacy in Southgate for both Muslims and the wider community.
