It is a myth that we must be flexible to do Yoga. We do not arrive to Yoga with perfect bodies. Through breath and mindful movement we move our bodies and our minds toward wholeness and healing, and we learn to  accept ourselves as we are each day.  WHAT IS VINYASA FLOW YOGA? Vinyasa Flow yoga classes are both a physical challenge and a moving meditation. We start with yogic breathwork (pranayama) and warm up our bodies with gentle movements.  We then move into a more rigorous flow where we connect our breath with our movement through various yoga postures.  Modifications are offered for different abilities and those with conditions and injuries.  We then wind down with relaxing postures and deep rest.  In these classes you can expect to build physical strength, balance and stamina.  You will also develop a mindfulness practice and better body awareness.   This is a strength-based style of yoga so expect to sweat. At the end of class, you will leave feeling challenged and energised, yet also calm and centred.  With regular attendance you can expect to feel stronger and more flexible, to have better balance and to learn mindfulness tools to manage stress.  -- Please note: a reasonable level of fitness is required for these classes. You should be able to walk briskly for a mile and go up and down stairs without difficulty. Flexibility is NOT a requirement, rather it is one of the benefits gained by practicing yoga. 😊 After my first yoga class, I was hooked. I felt so calm. My body felt so open, and so tall. For more than 20 years now I have attended yoga classes for fitness, fun and to find a place of peace and respite. It’s helped me through bouts of back, neck, and wrist pain when I worked in IT. Yoga kept me fit during pregnancy and gives me a calming place to go when I need a break from the constancy of motherhood.

Our workshops have served as intense social learning sessions and therapeutic retreats to adults, and our children’s workshops have helped children express themselves and make large strides in their artistic endeavours. As reflected in our principles, all our sessions are inclusive of people with special education needs (SEN) and learning difficulties. We have helped children with SEN develop their confidence and become more involved in art. Our approach to teaching and learning is focused on using art to build a creative local community founded on principles of inclusivity. We provide a platform to showcase the work of our creatives via our Group Exhibitions - we also host and take part in national events such as The Big Draw and Lumiere London - the UK’s biggest light festival - and in local events like the Fabula Festival. We run pop-ups, co-operate with businesses alongside our workshops, and collaborate with non-profit organisations in addition to organising after school clubs with local schools. For more information on our past projects please do have a look at our News page! If you’re a business, charity, school or organisation and are interested in reaching out we are always open to collaborations! Please go to our Contact page and get in touch so we can send you a proposal package and plan a workshop for you (or your organisation)! Getting the community involved in art is always important - which is why we offer creatives the opportunity to run workshops. We welcome everyone that wants to volunteer their time and help others flourish; and as Eliyah once said, “the most expensive thing is time”.

Welcome to Soar Valley Archers. Our club has a rich and proud heritage of some thirty years standing. We are based in the beautiful village of Seagrave in Leicestershire. We are privileged enough to also have the use an indoor facility which allows us to continue our activities throughout the winter months. This last year has seen our membership nearly double which is great news for both the club and the sport of Archery. I am keen to encourage our Junior Members and we will be running 3 Beginners/new intake courses of six week duration throughout the year. This gives us more control over providing enough training equipment and to monitor numbers more easily. We have a varied membership ranging from 8 to 80 years of age and we are open to all members of the community. We are extremely proud of our safety record and there are always senior members on hand to provide assistance and advice when required. I am addicted to archery and it is so refreshing to be able to join up with so many like minded enthusiasts. Our members specialise in every different archery discipline from ancient longbow to more modern recurve bows and we also have a healthy number of compound archers who embrace the latest technology that the sport has to offer. If you want to take part in competitions and tournaments we regularly enter teams for major events or even if you just want some exercise and pleasant company. We are a friendly bunch and a warm welcome awaits anyone wishing to take up this ancient sport.
