Chantal has always had a keen interest in dogs having worked in boarding kennels, a dog rescue centre and a large dog training and behaviour centre in Surrey before setting up her own company. Qualifications: BSc. (Hons) in Psychology COAPE Diploma in Companion Animal Behaviour Counselling, therefore a member of the COAPE Association of Pet Behaviourists and Trainers Member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (MAPDT 1068) Member of the Institute of Modern Dog Trainers (IMDT) Scentwork UK trainer Chantal is also a trainer for Dog AID (Assistance In Disability), Registered Charity Number 1098619, a national voluntary organisation which provides specialised training for people with physical disabilities who wish to train their own pet dog, some up to Assistance Level. Chantal offers dog training and puppy training in Dorking, Ewell, Leatherhead and many other locations in Greater London and Surrey. It is a discipline that is constantly adapting and to keep up to date with new methods and techniques, Chantal regularly attends lectures and seminars by internationally renowned dog trainers and behaviourists such as Ken Ramirez, Emily Larlham and Kay Laurence. Chantal currently owns four dogs, a Border Collie and three Shelties. Chantal has competed at Olympia, won at Crufts, and has represented Team England in the World Agility Open and Team GB at the FCI Agility World Championships. She has also recently qualified to compete at IFCS with one of her Shelties.

My name is Mary Dawes. I am a BACP registered and accredited Counsellor / Psychotherapist. I trained at the Wealden Institute, where I gained a Diploma in Counselling and studied Transactional Analysis Psychotherapy. I am an approved adoption counsellor registered through Barnardo's LINK Adoption Support Service, and I am a trained Cruse bereavement counsellor. I worked for five years with male survivors of sexual abuse at Mankind, a charity in Hove, and as a volunteer counsellor at Open Door, a project for 13-25 year olds in Eastbourne, for six years. As a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, I work within their Ethical Framework for Counselling Professions. I do not believe that there is a typical person or client, only that there are people who are in distress and are searching for help. I believe that “the relationship” between client and counsellor is at the heart of the work that I do, and it is this relationship that ultimately heals and promotes most growth and well being in a client. My approach is Person Centred and Integrative, as I believe that no one approach fits all. Therefore I draw on a variety of theoretical and creative methods. In accordance with BACP guidlines, I have supervision on my work, and I regularly undertake training as a commitment to my continuing professional development. Artist Bill Campbell arrived at Islington Mill in 1996, hiring a studio space in the partially-abandoned mill building that he saw every day across the road from his flat. Soon after arrival he invited other artists to join him and they began to host the first artist happenings. Islington Mill Arts Club as we know it was established in the year 2000 when Bill was able to purchase the whole of our listed building. He commenced a gradual programme of renovation, resulting in artist studios across four floors of the building, plus a large open space on the fifth floor and an atmospheric attic space on the sixth. Read more about our heritage here. We are now home to over 100 resident artists and collectives in the main mill building and adjacent engine houses. Following our successful capital build programme, and a fruitful partnership with Salford City Council, Islington Mill Arts Club now operates Regent Trading Estate, an adjacent plot of former industrial land where we have established new artist studios in former warehouse spaces, plus event spaces and a community garden. The Mill has always been a vibrant and resourceful cross-disciplinary creative network; a space where conversations leads to connections, collaboration and co-creation. Over the years our collaborative exploratory style has made our studios into a focal point for the north-west’s arts community, as well as visiting international artists and exchanges.

Having grown up in Norfolk, I am inspired by the great British countryside and coastline. My paintings show my love of painting, colour, creating surface pattern texture and playing with compositions. I mostly paint in oils but also love to combine medias. My range of contemporary botanical prints are a real contrast to my oil paintings. But they also show my absolute passion for nature and love of colour and pattern, thanks to my textiles design background.. You are welcome to visit me in Studio 9, which is set in beautiful Oaks Park, opposite Mayfield lavender fields in North Surrey. I am there for a few hours most days and can often be seen painting outside my studio with my dog Tilly by my side. It is at my studio that I run my children’s art parties and various art classes and workshops. Sarah Frances Smith School Of Irish Dance Sarah Frances Smith, TCRG, former lead dancer and Dance Captain from Michael Flatleys Lord of the Dance opened her dancing school in 2013 and has watched her students go from strength to strength. The Sarah Frances Smith School of Irish dancing promotes a nurturing learning environment for children of all ages and also offer adult classes. Children enhance their fitness levels while learning the wonderful art form of Irish dance and make life long friends while doing so. The school teaches all elements of Irish dancing ; solo and ceili (team) dancing under the governing body of An Coimisiun Le Rinci Gaelacha (CLRG). Although representing a very new school, students have shown great aptitude competitively, moving extremely quickly through the grades, with many already having reached open championship level. The school has had solo recallers and medal winners at various major championships. Most recently, the school had two ceili teams and two soloists qualify for the upcoming World Irish Dancing Championships, which in 2016 will be held in Glasgow. The Sarah Frances Smith School of Irish dancing is truly delighted to have 15 students represent the school at this prestigious event. Sarah Frances herself placed in the top 3 in all major solo championships, and won the world championships with her ceili and figure team mates on numerous occasions throughout her own competitive career.
