Step2Skills Adult learning and employment support, formerly known as Hertfordshire Adult and Family Learning Service (HAFLS), runs a wide range of quality and approved courses for adults aged 19+, aimed to help improve people’s lives. We're funded by the Education and Skills Funding Agency and European Social Fund to deliver community learning courses for adults, young people and families across Hertfordshire. We subcontract with learning providers in Hertfordshire to deliver some of these courses on our behalf. Those learning providers are responsible for delivering courses to a high standard. We quality monitor provision to ensure it meets the requirements of OFSTED and the Education and Skills Funding Agency. Director of Sweetlove Training, Malcolm Sweetlove has 32 years experience as a teacher and senior manager in Secondary schools. His communication and interpersonal skills deliver the core purpose and values of the organisation. Malcolm has been a senior manager and leader in large comprehensive schools throughout the North West of England. Organisation and leadership skills are outstanding. OFSTED commented on his leadership skills as outstanding. Equally, Malcolm has spent his entire classroom teaching career teaching students with very challenging and complex needs. Students with complex and additional needs have to be taught and led in an appropriate, interesting and very stimulating way. Malcolm has been extremely successful in this regard. Having previously worked for many years as a teacher and leader, I have been supporting educators to address their identified needs and facilitate CPD experiences since 2002. This has involved working alongside schools at whole school, departmental and individual level both in the UK and abroad. I have worked with a wide range of organisations on a variety of issues that affect secondary and primary education, not only in science but whole school and in the wider education context. In my previous role as the Co-Head of National Science Learning Centre Programme I co-led a large team who created and facilitated CPD to science educators throughout the UK. Both Ofsted and other external evaluators have cited the positive and long-term impact of these CPD experiences.

Green Turtle First Aid is run by a registered Paramedic and provides accredited First Aid courses, teaching everything you’d need to know to handle an emergency situation. We are approved by FAIB, the First Aid Industry Body, and all of our courses are taught in accordance with the latest guidelines outlined by the Resuscitation Council UK. Our courses also satisfy the requirements of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 and the Department of Education / OFSTED. We use the most up-to-date equipment and incorporate a range of varied and engaging learning approaches to suit all in a fun and light-hearted environment. We provide in-house training for companies, schools, nurseries and teams or join one of our open courses held at a venue in Hertfordshire.

Our Ofsted report in March 2019 affirmed that ‘Leaders are building a curriculum that helps pupils to build on what they already know.’ I am very proud to be the Headteacher of Uplands Junior L.E.AD Academy, the school has a great feel to it. We teach the National Curriculum but are constantly reviewing and refining the way we do this so that the curriculum is the best it can be for the children. Children’s learning and development are at the centre of everything we do. Parents are encouraged to be closely involved in their child’s education.

Based inside the original Victorian block of the school which is still in use today for their reception and year 1 classes. Here we provide a professional yet fun and educational setting for children aged from 2 years old to school age. Collingtree Village itself is a quiet village off the A45 and can be traced as far back as the Domesday Book. It has a fantastic history with a church that dates back over 900 years in the heart of the village opposite Collingtree Day Nursery. The nursery is registered with Ofsted, although we have not yet had an inspection as we are still very new. Our partner setting in Milton Keynes' is assessed as 'Good' in all areas

Achieving for Children is a community interest company (a not-for-profit social enterprise) created in 2014 by the Royal Borough of Kingston and the London Borough of Richmond to provide their children’s services. In August 2017, the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead became a co-owner of AfC, and we now deliver children’s services across all three boroughs. Our services in Kingston are judged ‘outstanding’ by Ofsted, following their inspection in October 2019. Our services in Windsor and Maidenhead are rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted following an inspection in January 2020.
