I have been instructing Mental Health First aid for the past 3 years. Having experience of dealings with the Mental Health Sector has helped me to bring the training to many organisations and indivuals throughout the area. I have worked within the Civil Service and Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service for a number of years. During my time within the Civil Service i have been a family liaison officer which includes having to deliver bad news to families, assessed people at risk of self harm or suicide and negotiated with people to resolve difficult incidents. I hold a BTECH Level 5 in Trauma Risk Incident Management to support staff following witnessing traumatic incidents.

Aviation Training Resources has a long association with Flight Training in Nigeria and the UK going back to our inauguration in 2009. To cope with increased demand for courses, Captain Rob Spencer and Simon Abbott founded Aviation Training Resources (ATR) in 2011 to deliver training primarily for the Nigerian Civil and Military Sectors. Captain Rob Spencer started working with the Nigerian College of Aviation Technology in Zaria in 2007, carrying out Instructor Refresher Training and then Full Instructor ratings. Following this success, 2008 saw the cooperation with the Nigerian Air Force extend its scope with a Civil Instructor conversion course for a Senior Air Force Officer, who had carried out many years of Air Force Instruction.

Since then, CAWS has expanded to providing its services from a handful of schools to over 40 schools. CAWS has at its fingertips, the knowledge and expertise of a qualified Education Welfare Officer with more than 20 years’ experience in relation to education and school attendance. CAWS is a focused, committed and positive company, who provides schools, parents, children and young people with support, advice, and knowledge with regard to attendance and welfare concerns at school. In March 2003 Richard Long travelled to the Maasai Mara for a short photographic holiday. It was during this trip that he visited the school and learned about its needs, since then he has returned at least twice a year to assist the schools and local community. The Mara Rianda Charitable Trust is a company that was incorporated in England on 5 February 2004. Its company number is 5035681. It was registered as a charity with the UK Charity Commission on 23 February 2004. Its charity number is 1102255. It is governed by the UK Company and charity legislation. The directors and trustees are: Colin Bird Nigel Hollingsworth Richard Long Our community officer in the Mara is: Julius Karia Julius has the important role of being the charity’s eyes and ears in the Mara. Although he is a full time employee of Governors’ Camp they have generously appointed him to be our local community officer and he regularly meets with the schools, students and community and reports back to the Trustees. It would be very difficult for us to operate without his hard work and dedication. A Trustee visits the local community twice a year and establishes what the needs and problems, if any, are. The Trustees meet on a regular basis and decide on the work, funding and spending of the charity. All funds raised are used to support the schools and local community. Please note that no funds are used to meet any overheads or salaries in running the charity. The directors and trustees work without any remuneration or salary.

About NSW Netball South West is managed by the Regional Management Board (RMB) which consists of voluntary, elected and appointed trustees. The trustees chair one of 5 working groups which are responsible for matters such as ‘competition and events’, ‘education and training’ and ‘marking and communications’ and have certain other responsibilities such as heading up our relationship with Team Bath. The RMB is responsible for the management and development of Netball in the South West, identifying and meeting the needs of everyone involved in netball to enhance participation experiences and encourage the uptake of the sport. The RMB co-ordinate the Regional Performance Programme, organise the Regional Leagues, oversee the strategic future of netball in the South West and continually seek to develop coaches, umpires and volunteers.
