Library of Things and Repair Cafes. We are currently (as of Spring 2021) introducing HOW TO Reduce your Carbon Footprint workshops within the Share and Repair Shop and as a pilot project within primary schools. Another strand of ‘sharing’ is our Library of Things. We started this at the Weston Hub in November 2018 and changed our official name to Share & Repair in line with our expanded vision. We become a charity: In April 2020, Share and Repair gained charitable status as a CIO (charitable incorporated organisation) no 1189015. This is a major milestone for us and means we are accountable and can now raise funds through grant making trusts and from Gift Aid. We opened our first pop-up shop: In June 2020 we hit another major milestone when we opened the doors to the Share and Repair Shop in the centre of Bath. Our first location on Broad Street had an incredible response, raising awareness of sharing and repairing in Bath. In August 2021 we moved to another location at 3 York Buildings, George Street (BA1 2EB), which is now the new home for the Bath Library of Things and a place where we run even more repair sessions. HomeKIT launches: In Spring 2021 we officially launch HomeKIT. This is a new project that will see us taking donations of good-quality but unwanted kettles, irons and toasters and sharing these ‘home kits’ with partner charities who will distribute them to low-income households. If items need repairing, we certainly have the skills and means to do so. We’re really excited about expanding our work in this way and working with other organisations.

Bespoke Consultancy & Education Limited was founded in 2013 by Alison, who has worked in Domiciliary Care, Learning Disabilities, set up and ran a Young Carers Project, been an Assessor, Internal Quality Assurer, Social Care course leader in a local College, Alison is also the Chair of Trustees for a charity that supports Individuals with mental health and learning difficulties. She is passionate about raising the standards in social care and helping others. Alison is a Dignity Champion and wants to raise the awareness of dignity through her work. Whilst the company has grown considerably it remains a family run business. Tony, Alison’s husband, joined the business in August 2015. His background is management in the motor trade. He runs the office and administration team. He has learnt a lot about social care in the past few years and has the same drive and passion as Alison to make changes to the way people work in social care. He has been an invaluable member of the team as he has seen the social care sector with ‘fresh eyes’ and has questioned the way we work in the social care sector.

Gas Flare Limited training centre, based in Bristol, is an accredited BPEC and Gas Safe registered assessment centre catering for already qualified gas engineers and those looking to gain access to the gas industry. Whatever your needs our team of highly experienced gas trainers and assessors will guide and support you through the entire process. Training and assessment takes place in our well-equipped, purpose built facility which provides a realistic environment with the aim of building confidence and developing the professionalism needed to work safely in the gas industry. We have identified that a trainee’s confidence is very much boosted by a ‘hands on’ approach as opposed to slowly working through units in manuals. Our aim is to promote a relaxed atmosphere and course members will be provided with light refreshments and lunch to support this. Free car parking is available. A local accommodation package at a discounted rate can also be arranged. Located in Bristol, Gas Flare Limited is well situated close to the M32/M4/M5 for easy access from all directions. Gas Flare Limited has a variety of gas training courses ranging from domestic gas, commercial gas, LPG, and combustion performance testing. Karl Seymour Founder Karl is one of the founders of Photosymbols with a background in graphic design and photography. He developed an interest in accessible information and communication while working as a carer, and later as an accessible information designer for the NHS in Bristol. Pete Le Grys Founder Pete is the other founder whose specialisms are co-production, involvement and training. Pete has a wealth of experience in the health and social care sector and also worked for the NHS in Bristol where the pioneering work we do first began. Dean Milner-Bell Creative Director New to the team for 2022 is Dean Milner-Bell, who comes to us with many years of experience building the ‘Easy on the I’ symbol set based in Leeds, Yorkshire. We are really excited about what Dean is bringing to the mix as he takes over responsibility for creating new pictures and easy-read templates.
