TTK9 isn’t a job for me. Dogs have saved my life more than once. It started with our family Doberman that saved me from being a SIDS baby by waking my mom when I couldn’t breathe in the middle of the night. My mom tried taking her potty, which she refused. Instead, she kept darting into my room and back to my mom. Had Princess not been so incredibly tenacious, I wouldn’t be here. I have 40 more years of stories, too. I very literally owe my life to dogs.

I was first given my grandmother's sewing machine when I was eight years old. My mum helped me make a skirt pattern from a piece of newspaper and taught me how to make up my skirt. I made clothes for my dolls and teddies and as I grew up, clothes for myself and friends. I had a Saturday job in a fabric shop when I was a teenager and would spend all my wages on fabric, throwing together outfits to wear on Saturday night after my day at work!

Corby And District Sub-Aqua Club (CADSAC) was formed in 1979. We are a member of the British Sub-Aqua Club (BSAC) – the worlds largest scuba diving club, and are based in Corby, Northamptonshire. With members coming from not only Corby but all the surrounding towns and villages, CADSAC caters for both people wanting to learn to Scuba Dive and for already qualified divers looking for a friendly club. We provide our Members with quality training and varied diving throughout the UK as well as more adventurous and exotic diving abroad. Club Night We meet every Monday Night from 7.30pm in the Stewarts & Lloyds Cricket Club Pavilion, Cannock Road, Corby (just off Occupation Road near the old Stars Night Club). See Map Of location With different rooms within the pavillion our experienced Instructors teach new and intermediate divers the skills required to get in the water to have a safe and enjoyable dive. For one hour per week throughout the year between 9pm to 10pm we train at Corby International Swimming pool. It is used for novice training, checking new kit options, snorkel sports or just swimming. With the adjustable depth of the floor it makes the ideal place for novices and experienced divers train. Other Club members plan their upcoming diving expeditions, share their experiences or just catch up with a beer! Equipment To get you started the club has a limited amount of dive equipment which is available to borrow. The kit is intended for pool training use only, but due to the high cost of kit many new ‘club divers’ borrow this equipment for open water use for up to a year, whilst they decide if diving is the sport for them, or they become able to purchase their own equipment. Air fills are available for all club members from our own compressor and air bank. This handles up to 300 bar air cylinders, or up to 232 bar for 02 clear cylinders.

The RYA Competent Crew course is aimed at beginners to the world of sailing, with little or no experience, who want to become active crew members rather than just passengers. After the course, you will be able to steer a yacht, handle sails, keep a lookout, row a dinghy and assist in the day-to-day routines of sailing a yacht as well as rope handling and general duties. No age limit. 5 Day Sailing Course - £695 RYA Instructor/Student Ratio max 1:5. You’ll learn to skipper short passages, enter and exit ports , emergency skills such as Man Overboard training and how to sail up to and tie up to a mooring buoy. To take this course, you must have completed at least 5 days, 100 miles and 4 night hours on board a sailing yacht, and must be 16 or older. 5 Day Sailing Course - £695 RYA Instructor/Student Ratio max 1:5. We normally sail with 1:4 Check Dates And Availability IMG_3247.JPG RYA Coastal Skipper Or Yachtmaster Offshore Prep The RYA Coastal Skipper practical course is aimed at yachtsmen and women with considerable knowledge of sailing and navigation who are wanting to undertake coastal passages by day and night. After this course, you will have the confidence to skipper a yacht on a coastal passage by day or night. Or if completing the Yachtmaster Offshore prep you will arrange with the school to book a RYA Examiner to take the 8/10 hour practical exam soon afterwards. To take this course(Coastal) you will have completed at least 15 days, 300 miles, 8 night hours and 2 days as skipper on board a sailing yacht, and must be 17 for Coastal and 18 for Yachtmaster Offshore for which you will need 2500 miles and three skippered passages over 60 miles plus 50 night hours. 5 Day Sailing Course - £695 RYA Instructor/Student Ratio max 1:5. This course is a requirement for anyone who owns a fixed or handheld marine VHF radio. The Short Range Certificate (SRC) is the minimum qualification required by law to control the operation of VHF and VHF Digital Selective Calling (DSC) equipment on any British flagged vessel voluntarily fitted with a radio. Although not a requirement for the Competent Crew course, it does offer a great opportunity to get on the water and see what it's like before making the leap to a full 5 day course.
