The fantastic roads and scenery in Yorkshire and the surrounding areas combined
with the growing popularity of cycling in general have led to a surge in the
number and variety of cycling events hosted locally. Many of these events can be
found using the British Cycling website. In recent years sportives have become
increasingly popular with members, many of whom take part in the challenging
Étape du Dales, for which we also provide marshals, as well as the Fred Whitton
Challenge and the Cumbrian Cracker. In addition we run a series of time trials
in the summer months from Bolton By Bowland which everyone is welcome to enter.
