Our art classes in Salisbury and the New Forest offer the techniques, and a real ‘in-depth’ learning experience crafted with integrity; and tempered with a healthy balance of fun and variety in a social setting. This depth of learning is unusual to find outside of the mainstream educational system and we have brought all our passion and extensive teaching experiences together to create these exciting new courses. We can offer classes in teaching to draw, painting in acrylics, watercolour, oils and mixed media. One of our most popular classes is our ‘Plein air’ or outdoor art classes. This course will allow you to completely relax and feel at one with nature. It’s the perfect opportunity for restoration and inspiration whilst working outdoors in the beautiful New Forest.

We started Let's Get Out C.I.C to engage more people with the Outdoors, and all the benefits that brings. We strongly believe being outdoors improves wellbeing, both physical and mental. It's no coincidence that the increased issues with mental and physical wellbeing is happening at a time when humans are spending less and less time outdoors within nature.

I just love painting winter scenes, there's a magic in the air, patterns emerge in the fields and hedgerows as leaves fall, whilst the low winter sun enhances every furrow and landline. This combines with my reason for painting - to share the joy and excitement that my eight year old self found in nature. For me the challenge of winter paintings is in using a restrained and minimal palette whilst still staying true to my love of colour.

Woodland Play Therapy is a social enterprise delivering training to therapists and teachers who are already working with children in schools across Scotland. The people we train are working with children who have been identified with additional social and emotional support needs or learning requirements. Often these children are traumatised, refusing to go to school, self harming or their health problems are limiting their experiences of life, and we believe this a symptom of our society’s disconnect to nature.
