Curran Coaching

I would not change anything about the sessions. I think it was very helpful that everyone was working on their own presentations throughout the programme, so we could support each other and give valuable feedback. I liked the atmosphere a lot, it was a “safe space” , fun and productive.” — GILEAD SCIENCES “My presentation could not have gone better! I truly enjoyed it and felt like I was ‘a natural’. This was not always like that. I worked with Nicky on various occasions. She is an excellent public speaking coach. She is confident, supportive and professional. She helped me to figure out how to tell the story and gain confidence when presenting. I could not be more grateful!” — NHS CONSULTANT “I attended all sessions and found it to be very helpful. The sessions presented by Nicky were very well laid out and very interactive. She made you feel at ease and provided useful and critical feedback. The recording of our presentations was extremely helpful and eye opening... The tool kit and especially the storyboard layout she provided is something that will be adopted and will steer my future presentations.” — VP ASSET MANAGER “I can’t recommend this course highly enough. As someone who felt fairly confident with presenting and preparing for presentations, I was keen to understand how I could further develop my confidence and deal with my main issues of ‘pausing and pacing’. The storyboard concept is fantastic and really created a ‘lightbulb moment’ for me - again something I will use is many aspects of my job, not just presenting. A definite 10/10!

The Mulberry Dyer

the mulberry dyer

Currently a Post graduate Researcher at the University of Leeds, researching the most efficient methods of mordanting fibres with the environment and sustainability in mind, Debbie is also an Associate of the Society of Dyers and Colourists*. Her brand, The Mulberry Dyer, was established in the early 1990’s following the completion of the City and Guilds Art and Design – Embroidery course, with a view to producing naturally dyed embroidery silks, which at that time were unavailable. Meticulous research into dyes and methods used in the 17th century resulted in the accurate reproduction of these silks. This research was then expanded to cover all periods in history and for other fibres. Examples of work can be found in the V & A Museum, Hampton Court Palace, the Globe Theatre and other Museums and Historic Houses across the UK and Europe. A specialist in the dyestuff madder, she runs courses and masterclasses and is the first dyer for many decades to successfully reproduce the Turkey Red process in Europe. Research and experimentation continue for both historical and Industrial purposes, she is currently a Post Graduate Researcher at the University of Leeds. Environmental impacts of natural dyes and mordants, colourfastness (light, wash and rub) are key to current research. For several years a consultant to Industrial Organisations wishing to add naturally dyed products to their range. A contributor to the Encyclopaedia of Medieval Dress and Textiles c450 – 1450** and with several articles published in The Journal (for Weavers, Spinners and Dyers) a book is the next step.

Sarah's Swim School

Nottingham

About Sarah's Swim Academy Safety, fun and fitness - these are the key values we at Sarah’s Swim Academy advocate. In the South African context, water is everywhere. For a child who cannot swim, this can lead to disaster. It becomes particularly dangerous if the adults around a child cannot swim either. An instance where a child who innocently stumbles into a bucket of water, falls from a boat, leans over too far while looking at fish in a fish pond, falls or is pushed by another child into a pool could turn deadly if that child can't swim. From our watertoddlers to our adults, the safety of all our swimmers is our first priority. Swimming is an extremely important life saving skill that you should not neglect. Our philosophy is simple To passionately deliver the highest quality swimming experience to toddlers, children and adults while staying safe, having fun and keeping fit. Our classes are built around safety in the water. Our focus is to teach swimming from toddler to adulthood in a safe environment for all swimmers. We encourage parents to get involved in teaching their toddlers basic safety skills in the water and we assist parents to develop their toddlers’ natural swimming ability. As with any activity, an element of fun must always be present. Fun motivates us to continue to learn and hang in there when things become a little more challenging. We achieve this through play, which creates a fun and exciting environment for all levels of swimmers.

BEAUTIFUL SOUL, I'M SO GLAD YOU'VE LANDED HERE. TRUST THAT YOU'RE HERE FOR A REASON.  Welcome. I hope this marks the beginning of a transformative journey for you.  My name is Sally, and I discovered energy healing when I was seeking solace for my own struggles with poor mental health. I came to a point on my path where I felt that if I did not heal, I may not survive here on Earth. So, I sought healing through yoga, meditation and lifestyle changes, which led me to energy healing, sound healing, light language, plant medicine, nature and community. What I didn’t anticipate, was that I would be strongly called to train and offer healing for others. I answered the call. I believe that my many dances with darkness and my own healing journey have provided me with the experience and initiations required to work with energy, support others, listen to, and truly emphasise with the tremendous pain that one can feel when navigating dark or unsettling periods of life. I am still healing, evolving and learning, but these practices have truly transformed my life, so I feel incredibly honoured to share them with you.  Energy healing can support us on our path in a myriad of ways. If you’re feeling lost, stuck, at a cross-roads, or struggling with poor self-image, self-worth, indecision, or illness, energy healing can help us to find balance, clarity and encourage our body’s natural ability to heal.  It can also offer us so much more. Embarking on a healing journey can help us to reconnect with our soul purpose, our reason for being here on earth at this time. It can support us in recovering our gifts and passions, and help us to find our inner fire so that we can share them with others, or step more fully into who we truly are.  You hold so much knowledge and wisdom inside of you, but so many of us have forgotten how to tap into our inner truth or connect to our intuition. I create sacred spaces and ceremony, so that you can remember who you are. To reawaken your inner fire, release trauma, and connect to likeminded souls in beautiful community.  We do not need to walk this path alone, and it would be my honour to connect with and support you on this strange, remarkable, and joyous journey through life.
