If you choose to take driving lessons with me at Ignition, then I will be your driving instructor. I am a highly experienced, fully qualified, approved DVSA driving instructor in Nottingham. I was trained as an instructor in 2004 by the largest national driving school in the UK. I am proud to say that I have taught the essential skills of driving to hundreds of people over the years, giving me extensive experience in the field, as well as a story or two to tell. I have coached many people from all walks of life. One of the things I enjoyed most was giving blind people the chance to have a go at driving, whilst on a charity day for the guide dogs charity. My driving career started when I was 8 years old, racing go-karts. I have always had a passion for cars and driving, and I still enjoy getting down to the local go-kart track. I also like to push my driving skills to the limit wherever I can and have many experiences behind the wheel, ranging from driving off road, through rivers and deep mud, rally driving, skid control, drifting and even stunt driving on 2 wheels! I also have a Caterham Seven that I enjoy driving on the road and on track days. Driving on a race track helps me to keep improving my driving skills and it’s great fun! I have driven on some of the top UK race circuits such as Silverstone and Donington. My other love is music. I used to be a House music DJ for many years and have played in numerous venues. I love going to Ibiza and music festivals such as Glastonbury.

Target sports for all, assault rifle shooting, axe throwing, archery, crossbow and airgun shooting for all that want to try their hand at it.We can provide assault rifle shooting. That’s real bullets using a semi-automatic rifle. The bullets fly as quick as you can pull the trigger from a 25-round magazine. Our shooting club is home office approved and follows the sports of Lightweight sport rifle and gallery rifle. In the future we intend to provide competitions for people to test their skills against others. For those that have already tried the Assault rifles, we now have new for 2022, a speed shooting activity. Our range is suitable for indoor air gun shooting. We also provide coaching for those that wish to compete on the air gun circuit, including opportunities for postal competitions. We offer training to international level in crossbow shooting through the National Smallbore rifle association and the world crossbow shooting association. Both postal and face to face competitions are available at up to 65 metres distance on away days. Axe throwing is a great sport for beginners to get into, and we have a resident club called the Essex backyard throwers who are always looking for members and again compete both nationally and internationally. For those wanting to get to that standard all it needs is a bit of practice and guidance and look out world. We, Ruth’s family, are left devastated by the sudden loss of a lovely mother, wife, daughter, sister, aunt, niece, sister-in-law and friend. She leaves a huge, aching gap in all our lives and, we know, in the lives of so many others who were lucky enough to know her. We are grateful to all our friends for their thoughts and support now and in the difficult years ahead. Ruth will be remembered as the kind, funny, confident, vivacious, caring person she was and for all that she achieved in life. We also ask those who did not know Ruth please to respect our privacy, as we come to terms with our unfathomable grief, and to consider carefully how their words and actions might impact on others. As the many tributes to her from the broader school and Caversham community attest, Ruth cared deeply not just about academic results, but also about the general well-being and happiness of the pupils and staff whom she taught and led. Caversham Primary was a very happy school under Ruth’s leadership and, despite the many challenges that always go with the role of Head, she was happy there too. Ruth was a dedicated headteacher and an excellent teacher. She loved the pupils and the staff of Caversham Primary School and was very proud to have been its Head Teacher for 12 years and previously Deputy Head Teacher for four years. Ruth was a force for good in her life, and we want her to be a force for positive change after her death too. We would urge anyone who has been affected by her death to talk about their feelings and know that help is available. Karin Schamroth is a Specialist Speech & Language Therapist in Deafness, and creator of smiLE Therapy. She worked in the National Health Service in the UK for 30 years. For 20 years, with deaf babies, pre-schoolers, primary and secondary aged students for Whittington Health NHS (North London). She graduated with a BSc from Manchester University in 1984, and taught English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) for 4 years. She qualified as a Speech and Language Therapist in 1990 from City University. She has worked with Deaf children & young people, in a range of setting – units in mainstream schools (both Total Communication and Oral) and Deaf Schools (Frank Barnes School for Deaf Children, and Blanche Nevile School for Deaf Pupils). Her background in TEFL teaching, with its structured test-teach-test communicative approach, was invaluable in the development of smiLE. In addition, she was trained by Jenny Mosley in Quality Circle Time. This has had a significant influence on the group respect principles used in delivering smiLE Therapy. She was advisor for three MSc projects at City University on the effectiveness of the smiLE approach – Alton (2008), Lawlor (2009), Curtin (2018) and supported G. Medone with her MEd project at Birmingham University, School of Education, on Assessing smiLE Therapy’s relevance to young people with autism, unpublished (2015). She is currently clinical supervisor for a Clinical Doctorate Research Fellow (NIHR). Karin now works Independently, developing smiLE Therapy modules with adolescents and young adults and runs the company that trains professionals in smiLE Therapy. Karin has trained Speech and Language Therapists, Teachers of the Deaf, Special Needs Teachers, Mainstream Teachers, SENCOs, Occupational Therapists, Communication Support Workers and Special Needs Assistants, to use smiLE Therapy since 2008. Karin, together with Emma Lawlor, wrote the first smiLE Therapy book, published in October 2015 by Routledge Publishing

Hannah Jones established the swim school in 2011 after teaching at Esporta for several years and growing a loyal client base through achieving consistently fast improved swimming skills, after Esporta closed Hannah seized the opportunity to set up her own swimming business. We are based at Parkhall Business Village and operate from our own custom built swimming facility, we provide swimming lessons for both children and adults. We work with a variety of abilities varying from non-swimmers to competitive athletes, offering small group, private sessions and specific skill classes such as diving or life saving. We also offer in school holidays Mermaid sessions. Our goal at Hannah Jones Swim Academy is to provide effective teaching, designed to boost your child's water confidence, swimming knowledge, water safety and skills Our groups are arranged according to the swimmers' ability, the children are then assessed to achieve awards based around the Swim England framework. Hannah was selected to represent Great Britain at a number of International events but due to unforseen circumstances Hannah was unable to continue. Hannah still wanted to pursue a career in swimming and felt that by teaching people to swim she was able to share her experience and knowledge with everyone from absolute beginners to aspiring athletes.

Our mission is to engage people and communities within Plymouth with the transformational power of dance and to connect, create and celebrate dance in Plymouth by delivering citywide partnership projects that use dance as a vehicle for individual, cultural, organisational and social change. Why the community needs us We create and deliver the most exciting, innovative and accessible dance offer for our community. So many people don't have access to the transformational benefits of dance as part of their everyday life: such as the freedom to create; the opportunity to improve mental, physical and emotional health and well-being, whilst decreasing social isolation and exclusion. We know that it's vital that more people and communities have opportunities to watch, be part of and perform dance. Our impact on the community A total of 23,445 people have participated in Plymouth Dance workshops and events since 2009. 109 young people have volunteered for Plymouth Dance since the volunteering scheme began in 2014, logging 2,207 volunteering hours in total. Tea Dances with a Twist! is an intergenerational and inclusive social dance event that has attracted people aged 3.5 weeks to 104 years old. A total of 7,815 people have participated in our TDT events and TDT branch projects since 2016. Plymouth Dance has engaged 1,438 local, national and international artists and practitioners since 2009. Audiences for Plymouth Dance projects have ranged from 300 to 55,000. Over 13 years, Plymouth Dance has invested in excess of £1.27m into the city; 26% through trusts and charities, 50% through Arts Council England and 24% through earned income and commissions. Plymouth Dance is a member of the Plymouth Social Enterprise Network.

We are the Sex Education Forum. First established in 1987, we have helped support generations of educators and lobbied successfully for the introduction of compulsory Relationships and Sex Education in England. In April 2021 we established ourselves as an independent charity. As the voice of Relationships and Sex Education (RSE) in England we promote and protect the physical and mental health of children and young people by improving their access to RSE. We bring together our partners and wider stakeholders to share best practice, research, monitor the provision of RSE, explore and respond to new themes and identify gaps. Working together with our partners, members and wider stakeholders is central to everything we do. We support educators with high quality training, resources and a membership scheme, so they can be competent and confident providers of RSE, in partnership with parents, carers, children and young people. We gather international evidence about effective RSE and use this to inform policy and practice and to increase public understanding of the benefits of RSE. Established in 1987, the Sex Education Forum has a long history of influencing policy, that is grounded in the latest research and evidence, and supporting educators with resources and advice. After 34 years of being hosted at the National Children’s Bureau, we established ourselves as an independent charity in April 2021.
