Edinburgh

Our goal at Edinburgh University Cricket Club is to promote a passion for the game within the university and the wider community. We are a large and inclusive club of seven teams (four men’s, two women’s and a social XI) and compete in both indoor and outdoor competitions. We offer a diverse winter and busy summer schedule to suit any level of ability or commitment. We train three times a week, with specialist coaching available from Joe Kinghorn-Gray, Craig Yelverton and Aashiq Rhode. Our elite indoor squads have extra sessions to maintain our prowess in National Finals. Our Semester One Varsity Day, with both men’s and women’s matches against St Andrews, is always a day to remember that everyone gets involved in. We have a vibrant social scene, with socials and events throughout the semester, giving squads the chance to mix and friendships to blossom. Our annual Casino Night and Ball are some of the biggest nights of the year, and are a chance to dress up in the name of charity. There is also the opportunity to participate in various intramural sports, such as football, netball and hockey, if one sport isn’t enough for you! Our men’s and women’s 1st XI squads play at the highest standard in the BUCS Northern Premier divisions, while the rest of our squads play throughout Scotland. 2022 saw the exciting addition of a women’s 2nd XI and a Social XI, making our club even bigger and better than ever! If you’re interested, make sure to get in touch or come down to our publicised events.

Accrington Stanley Football In The Community Trust

accrington stanley football in the community trust

Accrington Stanley Community Trust is an award-winning, non-profit, self-funding registered charity (Number 1139575) and community organisation that has been working within the Hyndburn community since 2007. After becoming a registered charity and re-forming as a Community Trust in 2010, the organisation has seen an accelerated rise and growth. Accrington Stanley Community Trust was originally established under the banner of Football in the Community in 2007, with the aim to bring the professional club and their community closer together. Natural progression from Football in the Community resulted in the scheme being taken on to work alongside and under the guidance of the Football League Trust. Accrington Stanley Community Trust has expanded at a phenomenal rate and we now work in 4 key themed areas: Sports Participation, Education, Health & Wellbeing and Social Inclusion. Football and in particular, Accrington Stanley Football Club has the ability to engage people, improve community cohesion and raise the hopes and aspirations of the people of Hyndburn. As a Club we are committed to ensuring that we respond to local needs whilst working strategically in line with regional and national agendas. We all recognise that sport can play a prominent role in addressing major issues such as obesity, anti-social behaviour, health, employment and attainment. Through key partnerships and a robust multi-agency approach, we ensure that we can achieve our aims and objectives effectively and efficiently. Our partnerships work underpins the entire scheme delivery programme and enables us to work strategically within Hyndburn. These relationships enable us to engage with underrepresented and hard to reach groups.

7EE,

About the Academy Our academy was established in Great Britain in 2012, its founder is a professional photographer, documentary filmmaker and graphic designer Mariusz Śmiejek, who published his photos in magazines around the world, winner of many awards, including the National Geographic magazine award for the best photojournalism. With a great passion for sharing knowledge, and a lot of experience in conducting workshops outdoors and in the studio, we offer intensive weekend photography workshops and courses for beginners, intermediate users of digital cameras. We also run several-day workshops for advanced photographers who are thinking about the next steps towards professional photography and for enthusiasts who want to learn how professionals work, listen to their tips and learn their secrets. We provide a wonderful, cordial atmosphere in an intimate group of positively "freaky" photography enthusiasts, which usually results in long acquaintances. Our workshops are prepared in such a way that in small groups and in a nice atmosphere, each participant has the best opportunity to learn the secrets of photography. The program is prepared in such a way that you can learn to use various photography and post-production techniques on your own photos under the guidance of award-winning and appreciated professionals with experience in Poland and abroad. After our workshops, you will look at the world around you in a completely different way and you will start consciously pressing the shutter button of your cameras, which will have a significant impact on the quality of your photos.

Teach Perfect

teach perfect

London

Teach Perfect was founded in 2016 to provide high quality, affordable educational support for students at every stage of the standard national curriculum. Our goal is simple – we want children to reach higher, maximising their talents to achieve the best start in life. Many adults, with the benefit of hindsight will often say the same thing; ‘I wish I had worked harder at school’. We are here to make sure that happens. The workplace is increasingly selective and every student needs to be ready to compete for the roles they want in life. Our founder, Sarah Eden-Ellis, is a passionate and driven teacher. Her discipline is English and she has had a long career as Head of English in Ofsted-rated outstanding schools and academies. She is also an expert examiner for Edexcel marking Key Stage 2 SAT papers, for AQA marking the new GCSE specifications in English and for Edexcel marking English Language IGCSE papers. She is a Specialist Leader of Education in the Poole area, providing coaching support for English departments in other secondary schools. Her own teaching standards have been rated as outstanding. Sarah is supported by a professional team who also have the same drive to enable students to achieve beyond their own expectations. As Teach Perfect matures, we will add more subjects to our learning programme and more teaching professionals will join us. However, we will never lose sight of our mission, which is to ensure every one of our students is taught by an exceptional tutor and their life chances are improved.

We have used our extensive, world-leading knowledge of water safety and training to develop a comprehensive range of vocational qualifications and a series of awards and education programmes which all have the ultimate aim of preventing drowning and stopping unnecessary loss of life. Our portfolio includes the National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) - the premier lifeguard training programme.
