At the center we hold 10 week courses for Puppy and Adult dogs. The ten week dog training classes progressing to beginner, Intermediate and advanced levels. At the centre we have large indoor and outdoor facilities which include consultation rooms for private lessons. Here we can help you with dog behavioural problems individually. We also provide home visits to help you with your dogs behavioural problems that may exist at home. At Rockwood we train and supply animals for the film and TV Industry, including modelling, advertising, theatre and can provide Britains leading dog display team for outdoor events. Many of the dogs that we supply have come through our dog training centre. Some of the dogs work their way through our courses and go on to join the Rockwood Dog Display Team. The Team are ranked the UKs leading dog demonstration team and have performed all over the UK including Royal Events, Military Shows and Crufts. The Rockwood Dog Display Team have also work on corporate events and have had countless TV appearances. They impress the audience with their skills of Obedience, Agility, Man Work and tricks, all beautifully performed to music. It is particularly important with the nature of our work that all the dogs look in tip top condition. At our Grooming parlour in Llanbradach, Ellen Winfield insures that all the film dog are looking their best. Ellen is a City and guild qualified groomer and offers dog grooming and cat grooming for all breeds of dogs and cats at her salon. Ellen offers a high quality service, checking the dogs ears ,eyes and nails. Rockwood Grooming Parlor offers a pick up and delivery service.

Cuban Salsa was derived from an earlier dance form known as ‘Son’ and other popular social dances as well as mambo and cha cha cha . The Cuban style developed into a very relaxed, passionate and expressive style where your personality gets to shine as much as your dance steps. It’s been danced since the 50’s and all started in Havana, the capital city of Cuba . Fun, passion and enjoyment are a major part of our Cuban Salsa classes and social events in Leicester, Nuneaton, Coventry, Derbyshire and Birmingham. Cuban Salsa is very much alive in the heart of the Midlands with Havana Salsa! Rodolfo and his wife Laura, and their team of trained instructors from across the globe have teamed up to bring the addictive Cuban Salsa to many people of all ages. With weekly Cuban Salsa classes in many cities across the midlands are fun and full of energetic content accompanied by great music and great people. Anybody can join the classes from absolute beginner’s right up to advance dancers. No partners are needed, just bring your enthusiasm to take on a beautiful dance. It was never going to be a straight forward journey and many things had to happen to get to here, so let’s start at the beginning. My son was born in 2007 profoundly deaf and it changed everything for me, I never knew love like it. Mother and baby groups were hard to come by back then and I spent a lot of time alone just Joseph and I, I was fine with that but I always felt I needed something more. Eventually I managed to get a place at a local class with other Mums and babies, I was so excited to meet other Mums and arrived at my first class so eager. After our first class, I remember feeling so broken, my beautiful baby was just not responsive like others, he had his little hearing aids on but wasn’t able to hear through them until many months later after cochlear implant surgery. I remember thinking this is a sensory class, how do I learn how to play with my baby? I was young and clueless, I felt very alone and parents didn’t talk to me, maybe because they felt awkward I don’t know, or maybe because I was closed off and had already set myself up to fail. I went to that class once more and knew it was not for me, I hated the way I felt and I knew that I never would want anybody else to feel that way. And so it began, as Joseph got older my knowledge of play and communication with deaf children grew. I became so passionate about language development in babies and how important it was as a parent to play, talk and give love. At the age of 13 months, Joseph had his cochlear implant surgery and was able to hear for the first time. It wasn’t like the videos you see of deaf children hearing for the first time, it was a long process, from listening to a series of beeps through a new mechanical device, it was a year of turning those beeps into recognisable auditory sounds. The process took a very long time and by 30 months first words started to emerge, at the age of 7 he had caught up with his peers. Being the Mother of a deaf child still is an epic adventure, that we have to be prepared to stop everything at the drop of a hat, if something major happens to the equipment or there are any signs of infection around the implant site, It is part of our daily life to check equipment, ears and his precious head.

Anna is an accomplished flamenco dancer, choreographer and teacher currently living in the UK. As well as performing sell out theatre shows with her flamenco company, Amor Flamenco, she has her own Flamenco dance academy: ‘Academia Flamenca’. Anna teaches flamenco dance is Spain and in the UK. She is an enthusiastic and nurturing teacher who is passionate about communicating the depth and power of authentic flamenco dance to her students, whether online or in person. ‘I started creating the downloads and DVDs because so many of my students were telling me how they struggled to remember the steps, rhythms and movements they were studying in class. Students are very hungry for information and help and I wanted to give them something that would augment their study. What started as something to help my own students, grew and evolved as more people were asking me to help them. I’ve since taught students who’ve had no other formal training other than my DVD’s and downloads and I’ve been thrilled to see just how much they’ve grasped.’ Flamencodance.co.uk now offers information and advice on all things flamenco as well as providing courses, classes, holidays and downloads for flamenco students all over the world.
