Discovery STEM Education is a not for profit organisation with a STEM Centre at Kelham Island Museum and a STEM Academy at Sheffield College. Working in partnership with leading STEM organisations from across the globe, we have developed Invent Future Global and World Educational Robotics UK. We are an international hub of interaction between schools, colleges, university departments, STEM organisations and current technology industry. Discovery STEM Education is a member of a UK Robotics and Autonomous Systems Education and Skills Task Group which has been awarded EPSRC funding to develop robotics and autonomous systems education in the UK. Working in collaboration with Abilix UK, Consequential Robotics and The University of Sheffield, we have developed educational robotics curriculum and supported more than 200 schools to incorporate robotics into their existing curriculum. A major focus of our STEM career building strategy is to develop opportunities for young people to collaborate and problem solve with children from across the globe. Since July 2018 we have organised three international robotics events at Sheffield University for schools from the UK, Mexico and China with support from Rolls-Royce UK, Sheffield robotics and the Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre. We also organise onsite and online international robotics and invention conferences for young people from multiple countries.

The London NERC DTP is a partnership of eight prestigious research organisations across London, funded by the Natural Environment Research Council. Our aim is to attain new standards of excellence in environmental science research training, and deliver a transformative inter-disciplinary experience for PhD students in the heart of London. We currently fund over 140 PhD students in the natural sciences. Our students are trained at World-leading research centres, which cover a the breadth of environmental science research, from those driven by contemporary environmental challenges to those exploring complex questions about the evolution of planet Earth. Our PhD programme is focussed on eight key research themes: Biodiversity, Ecology & Conservation, Earth, Atmosphere & Ocean Processes, Environmental Hazards & Pollution, Environmental Physics & Mathematical Modelling, Evolution & Adaptation, Past Life & Environments, Solid Earth Dynamics and Pan-disciplinary studies. The London NERC DTP partners are University College London, Birkbeck University of London, King’s College London, Queen Mary University of London, Royal Holloway University of London, Brunel University London, the Institute of Zoology, the Natural History Museum. The DTP is run by the DTP Team, and the Management Board, and overseen by the PhD Committee and Governing Council. Our school supports students in developing creative confidence and finding courage through a range of icon painting courses and workshops open to students at all levels. Edinburgh School of Icon Painting was founded in September 2013. It is a small school based in the artist hub St. Margaret's House. The school mission is to teach icon painting (writing) to people of all different backgrounds but at the same time maintaining the ethos and essence of it's spirituality. Introducing this unique form of art to students of the school I introduce a way of practising art which is different the other forms of art and it is said to be more then just art. Students learn egg tempera technique which has been used in art for centuries and it is one of the most lasting painting techniques. There are still reasonably well preserved icons from VI Century. Egg tempera involves preparing own paints using egg yolk and dry pigments. Through the whole process of work we try to limit synthetic materials. Using organic materials helps to develop a connection with nature and in consequence with the Divine. Basia Mindewicz - founder and teacher. Born in 1978. The Regency Town House at 13 Brunswick Square, Hove, is a Grade 1 listed terraced property built in the 1820s as part of architect Charles Busby's 'Brunswick Estate'. Today it is being developed as a museum and heritage centre with a focus on the architecture and social history of Brighton & Hove between the 1780s and 1840 Our main building at 13 Brunswick Square and its Basement Annexe a few doors away at number 10 are being restored to their former glory by our team of dedicated and enthusiastic volunteers. Years of accumulated paint layers have been removed, plasterwork and mouldings have been repaired and original finishes have been analysed and recreated. This gives provides an insight into the building materials and techniques that were used in the past and allows us to keep that expertise alive today as we learn how to recreate the To support the restoration process our volunteers organize fund-raising events, including workshops, performances, readings and recitals. The Town House rooms can be hired for art and photography exhibitions and events such as readings, book launches, and small functions.

Bethlem Gallery is a visual arts organisation in south-east London. We programme creative activities, projects and commissions to participate in, look at, talk and think about. Based at Bethlem Royal Hospital, Beckenham, and working across South London and the UK, we support the professional development and socially engaged practice of our artists, many of whom have experienced mental health services. We bridge communities, aiming to make art an everyday practice and mental health an everyday conversation. Our programme includes collaborations with other cultural and health organisations including Bethlem Museum of the Mind, with whom we share a building, artists-in-residence, and interdisciplinary research. We engage audiences in learning and debate on the subject of mental health and artistic practice. We are a charity founded in 1997. We plan to bring together all groups and individuals in Sandwich who are interested in the late medieval period who wish to contribute to the living history of Sandwich.We are a Charitable Incorporated Organisation, a CIO, formed in 2018 with the objective registered with the Charity Commission: To advance education for the public benefit on matters to do with the late medieval period, ie approx. 1330 to 1480 with a special focus on the heritage of Sandwich Town, Kent, in particular but not exclusively by providing a maritime and land based crafts “living museum”. Aims We plan to bring together all groups and individuals in Sandwich who are interested in the late medieval period who wish to contribute to the living history of Sandwich. The base for our activities is the wooden boatyard building on the slipway by the Quay, the Sandwich Medieval Centre. A special focus is engaging with young people. In addition to the centre being an historically interesting visitor centre, it will also be the base for educating and mentoring juniors in medieval crafts and skills to ensure that the rich history of Sandwich in this period is not lost to future generations. After gaining her Arts Degree from Sheffield City Polytechnic, Janet set up her silversmithing business in London where she was based for ten years. She moved to Berkshire where she has stayed, initially becoming Jeweller in Residence at South Hill Park Arts Centre and now teaching her own classes in Woodley. She has been making and teaching jewellery for over 40 years and has had the pleasure of seeing her students enjoy learning about jewellery making and some of her students have chosen to go on to run their own jewellery business. Her designs concentrate on form and technique. Flow, texture and carving informs most of her work. She likes her work to be timeless, enhance the body and come to life when worn by the owner. Her work continues to be exhibited here in Britain and abroad, has featured in a variety of publications including Vogue and is part of the contemporary jewellery collection at the Dallas Museum of Art, USA.
