Born over a decade ago out of an obsession with the mountains, Nonstop runs a collection of ski and snowboard courses for those that share a love of snow and dream of pushing their level. OUR ROOTS It was in the backcountry of Fernie, British Columbia that the Nonstop concept was conceived. The idea was to combine progressive ski and snowboard coaching with like-minded travellers to create truly life-enhancing experiences in the mountains. We will forever look back to Fernie as our original source of inspiration, and blueprint for future exploits: a hardcore hill combined with a real mountain community. This has fuelled our expeditions across Canada and beyond.

The M4 runs along the northern border and to the South you have the Bristol Channel. We’re one of the smallest geographic Areas in ScoutsCymru – but we pack in the members. With nearly 4,000 members in the Area we support Scouting in over 50 Groups spread across five Districts. The Area Team exists to support Scouting. From our mountain leaders to our website editor and from our leader trainers to the administrator at The Hub, our goal is to provide better Scouting for more young people.

My natural “Canine-Sense” has its roots in my childhood in Switzerland. Growing up with a pack of Rough Collies and Swiss Mountain Dogs, influenced me from an early age. I discovered how to achieve a strong bond with my dogs and became instinctual in understanding their behaviour and modes of communication. When I was 16 years old, I decided to become a certified dog trainer. The only problem was my age. Dog training schools did not accept any students under 25 years old. I was lucky though, when the Head of the Eduqua certified, BHT Hundeschule dog training school in St Gallen discovered my talent, after showing him how I rehabilitated a hunting dog called Barry.

Glasbury House Outdoor Education Centre, now known as The River Wye Activity Centre, is a substantial former aristocratic residence. Grade II listed with parts of which are believed to date back to the 1750’s which has been much adapted and altered over many years. This includes substantial reconfiguration in Victorian Times and modern extensions in the past 50 years. For the last 5 decades, Glasbury House Outdoor Education Centre has welcomed thousands of children and youth. Outdoor education has always been at the heart of the philosophy at Glasbury, and the River Wye Activity Centre is no different. We look forward to continuing to uphold it’s tradition by providing: Canoe hire Archery Team building Bushcraft Climbing and abseiling Gorge walking Mountain biking and much more. At the River Wye Activity Centre, we have a team of staff passionate about outdoor education and outdoor activities. We specialise in residential school or college trips, but can also put on corporate events, courses and training days. As well as the main house, we also have a bunkhouse on site which can sleep a further 27 guests.

Lochearnhead is situated approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes drive from Edinburgh and Glasgow airports. It is a picturesque village set in the mountainous region of the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. The village has two hotels and a good number of B&Bs of varying prices and standards. Loch Earn Opportunities For the non-flyers there are plenty of opportunities for sporting and outdoor activities locally in addition there are many places of interest and day trip locations within easy reach by car. For the flyers, Neil can provide full training for the single engine piston sea class rating plus skills flight test, mountain flying, VP differences, retractable gear differences, revalidations, and foreign licence conversions.
