Meet Gehane Gordelier Education Consultant As an education consultant I provide on-site and remote/online guidance, support and training for headteachers, senior and middle leaders and practitioners at every level to help them to further improve their practice; this includes governors. Most of my work is currently in the South East and in Jersey. I support schools with school improvement, planning, self-evaluation, curriculum provision, the teaching of phonics and early reading as well as financial management and budgeting. As an HMI I reviewed the implementation of policies and practice in education. I inspected local authorities, initial teacher education as well as primary, secondary and special schools in the maintained and independent sectors. I have experience of reviewing a range of curriculum subjects for Ofsted and now undertake deep dives of subjects for schools. As HMI, I was the national lead for the inspection of information and communication technology in primary schools and the inspection of international schools in England. Areas of specialism include strengthening leadership and management and improving the teaching of phonics, early reading and writing, MFL, EAL and accelerating school improvement. I have a B.Ed. (Hons) in Education and French and an MA in IT and Special Educational Needs.

Its close proximity to London Gatwick Airport and the London area makes pmFlight accessible to worldwide customers as well as those based in the UK Services We operate a 737 flight simulator and a A320 Airbus simulator, both of which are high fidelity devices at a price point that allows realistic extended learning without breaking the bank. In early 2015 we have developed two more simulator options 747-400 Flight Simulator and 757 / 767 / 777 Flight Simulator training devices more specifically to cover our on going demand for British Airways airline simulator preparation sessions. Facilities Our facilities offer a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. pmFlight has gained an excellent reputation since commencing business in 2009. We offer high quality training to pilots with experienced instructors on type and more specifically instructors that have targeted expereince in our areas of training. General After completing sim prep with pmFlight, numerous pilots have gained employment with airlines or gained their left seat commands. Our Redhill facilities include a briefing room as well as flight simulators with uninterrupted back-up generator and air conditioning. Redhill is a superb airfield with facilities for refreshments throughout the day. Wexham is a highly regarded and successful non-selective 11 - 19 school. The School’s latest Ofsted inspection, November 2017, judged the school to be GOOD in all areas and for overall effectiveness. The school is popular and currently expanding. In 2019 we welcomed our largest Year 7 cohort to the school for many years. Our location on the edge of Slough means our school has a green and spacious campus feeling. In November 2018 we moved into our new multimillion pound ‘Woodside’ Building. This is a major investment by Slough Borough Council as part of its ambitious school expansion programme. We now have 29 brand new classrooms housing Humanities, English, MFL and our SEN departments. In addition a new student services area was provided and at the very heart of the school a new Library, including additional Sixth Form study areas. Historically the School was designated as a ‘Sports College’. Although such designations have now ceased, sport continues to be a focus point of the school and there is considerable success at both local and regional level. High levels of participation in PE and Sport builds resilience and confidence in our students which allows academic success to flourish. The School has well developed partnerships across the Local Authority and community where we lead on PE through the Slough Schools Sports Network based at Wexham. We are currently one of four schools in Slough piloting the ‘Health Champions’ initiative and we also jointly co-host the Borough’s PSCHE network. We are an enhanced partner School to Brunel University. We are the Youth Sport Trust’s Lead Inclusion School for Berkshire. Our recent survey of 369 parents found that 97% agree that: Their child is happy at Wexham Their child feels safe at Wexham. Their child is well looked after at Wexham. 96% of parents say that Wexham is well led and managed and 95% agree that their child is taught well. Most importantly 97% of parents would recommend Wexham to another parent. A key ingredient of our success has been the priority placed on creating an environment in which both students and staff have the confidence to flourish. Great schools, that demonstrate continuous or sustained improvement, are built on a foundation of highly qualified and committed staff. In 2017 Ofsted found that ‘staff morale was high’ and ‘emotional and practical kindness drives the school’s care for all its pupils and students.’ These two features allow both students and staff to thrive.
