About Us At Breakthrough Education we work with schools and child care facilities throughout East Anglia to provide consultancy, inset and in-house training. We offer bespoke programmes and training packages in the pastoral and holistic areas of education including Special Educational Needs, Mental Health in children and resilience for both professionals and children. We care very deeply about the work schools and care providers facilitate when it comes to retaining and educating children who struggle to attend school or settle in their environments for a multitude of reasons. We understand the difficulties that schools and childcare professionals face when supporting children with additional needs and behavioural issues and we are passionate about helping all who work with them to find action-based solutions to these issues. We know that the complex issues encountered by the children, parents and staff can be all too challenging and we aim to help you find clarity in situations that can help everyone move forward and make improvements. The professionals at Breakthrough Education have a multitude of experience and qualifications in the pastoral and teaching and training sectors of education including specialist teachers, Special Educational Needs Co-Ordinators, Pupil Referral Unit Headteachers that also have expertise in all conditions relating to special needs conditions, mental health, resilience and dealing with crises. Chrysalis Craft Coventry CIC was founded in March 2020 in response to the urgent unmet needs of BAME and migrant communities who were disproportionately affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. The lockdown has challenged the mental health and wellbeing of everyone, more so for asylum seekers, refugees and migrants in our communities. Many have experienced unimaginable trauma and have seen major disruptions in their life already. The pandemic has amplified further the existing mental health problems. Often left in limbo, not able to take on higher education studies and not allowed to work (with many refugees under or unemployed) and likely to face loneliness or worse, direct discrimination, within their new communities. Chrysalis Craft Coventry CIC run sessions and activities to help with healing, using art and different artistic methods for wellbeing. The aim is to build self-esteem and friendship through artistic techniques, using art to work against loneliness as a result of language, cultural and ability barriers. The social enterprise supports people from a variety of different backgrounds, focussing on disadvantaged adult women immigrants, refugees and asylum seekers. Focusing on women who came to Coventry and the surrounding area recently, and those who have been here for a long time, but who have experienced barriers to integration. Local authority, NHS and charities working with migrants’ commission and refer people onto in-person and online workshops. Grant funding supports materials and content development. Over the short period of the start-up, Chrysalis Craft Coventry CIC supported thousands of individuals suffering from loneliness, domestic abuse, stress, anxiety, depression, homesickness and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder because of life experiences with positive results. During the pandemic the workshops have proven invaluable, acting as a safe environment and an information and signposting service. Directing people to urgently needed services they could not reach due to language barrier or stigma caused by misinformation.

Crimsham Farm is a community farming project, spearheaded and run by Veterans of the ArmedForces and young adults with learning difficulties. We run a variety of weekly clubs that engage with the local community, offering a completely inclusive experience for all. The site itself has been structured on a needs led basis, built and improved at every step through engagement with our users and the wider community, additions made at their request, making us the most unique farming project in the county. Crimsham Farm also acts as an alternative education provision, providing a space away from school for students who struggle to fit with the models of mainstream education and as a therapeutic centre for students with Special Educational Needs. By 2021 we will be host to a Veterans RV where members of the Armed Forces can come for mental health assistance, support groups, drop in centres, breakfast clubs and general information and signposting to help with every day life. With a passion for the outdoors, education and needs, Crimsham Farm is pioneering the way forward in positive therapeutic interactions in a safe and disabled friendly environment, providing a space that cannot be found anywhere else in Sussex in which the local community no matter the cause, can come and join in the fun, whether that’s through reduction of social isolation, inclusion in activities or just somewhere to come for a cuppa and a chat, it can be found here on the farm any time of the day, any time of the year! Founded in 2018, the Ayrshire Women’s Hub is a community interest company that focuses on supporting women and families. We work with women and families across Ayrshire who face hardships such as social isolation and loneliness, homelessness, sexual exploitation, abuse, addictions, mental and physical health problems, long-term unemployment, poverty and more. Our mission is to promote positive change and provide solutions that make a lasting impact within the community of Ayrshire. We provide a warm, friendly, safe environment, where women and families can come to get support, socialise, make friends and help empower each other through our workshops and group activities. In the three years that we have been providing our services we have helped assist thousands of vulnerable women and their families. Our highly trained team of support workers, community engagement officers and training and prevention coordinators bring a wealth of knowledge from various areas of health and social care and community learning and development. We deliver a holistic approach and work collaboratively with other services and organisations throughout Ayrshire to help achieve positive outcomes for our service users. Clean Break uses theatre to keep the subject of women in prison on the cultural radar, helping to reveal the damage caused by the criminal justice system. Through our unique work, we raise difficult questions, inspire debate, and help to effect profound and positive change in the lives of women with experience of the criminal justice system. Since 1979, Clean Break has been the only women’s theatre company of its kind, and we continue to inspire playwrights and captivate audiences with our ground-breaking plays on the complex theme of women and criminalisation. Through theatre workshops and projects in prisons and in the community which build confidence, resilience and wellbeing, we transform the lives of women who have experienced the criminal justice system or who are at risk of entering it due to the challenges they are facing, such as mental health or drug use issues, which place them in circumstances that make interaction with the criminal justice system difficult to avoid. Our Members Programme is available to women aged 18 and above. The Programme offers a range of workshops and performance opportunities led by esteemed female theatre artists, underpinned by comprehensive support. Clean Break’s women-only identity is crucial to our rationale. The treatment of women by the criminal justice system is one of the clearest demonstrations that our society is still unequal and that women are judged by different standards to men. Our vision is of a society where women can realise their full potential, free from criminalisation, and we believe that theatre enables women to challenge their oppression by society in general and by the criminal justice system in particular.

The driving idea behind Make and Create is a desire to bring people together to encourage creativity and community. Have you ever uttered the words "I wish I was more creative?". Then you have come to the right place, my friend. Make and Create project boxes are designed to remove barriers to creativity, by providing you with everything you need to make something useful or beautiful. Or both. Now wouldn't that make our old pal William Morris happy? Creativity is a verb. Not a quality you are born with, but an action. Creativity is not about talent. It is about doing. It is about courage. It is about absorbing yourself in something outside yourself. A release. A distraction to the constant internal hum. A form of meditation. Which brings me to the other reason I set up this project. Mental health. In a world where we spend so many hours of our day on social media, comparing our lives to the lives of others, it's easy to get caught up in the illusion that we are not good enough.
