Catering for all ages from Primary to GCSE level and adults, here at Global Learners Academy we are teachers who understand that everyone is different and that every need is important.  We understand the pressures of every day life upon families and the highly increasing need for them to support their loved ones in education - at whatever age they to come to it.  We aim to provide only the assistance and guidance that is absolutely necessary for each individual to succeed to the best of their ability. In our first meetings we will carry out a thorough assessment of the learner's reading, mathematics and literacy (including grammar) ability. From that, we will carry out an extensive gap analysis to ascertain where gaps and weaknesses are in their core knowledge of the English National Curriculum principles.  We will then provide you with a full report of these strengths and weaknesses with suggestions for the most appropriate package for them. All of our teachers that carry out the asessment are trained and experienced practitioners in the English National Curriculum, so designing a high quality package that is individually tailored to the learner's needs is something that we can provide.  You can choose from the full courses on offer or opt to pay per session using the book now feature.

Nilay Islek was born in Izmir, Turkey. She completed her elementary and high school education in this city. Photography became her interest in her high school years. In 1999, she entered Dokuz Eylül University Fine Art Faculty and graduated with the thesis “Sensual Projections” in 2003. She completed her Master Degree in the same faculty with her thesis “Visual Culture and Social Memory in the Context of Digital Photography Aesthetics” in 2009. Islek started to perform Advertising Photography in 1995 during her education. While she moved up the career ladder, she became a sought instructor and gave lectures in several schools and associations such as Izmir Fen High School and Izmir Association of Photography Art (IFOD). Universiade 2005 Izmir Summer Plays was her first important international event as a member of the editorial board. After that, she has participated in several international events and projects. Her newest project is Izmir- Bremen Photography Artist Residency Program “Elsewhere” between 2017-2018. In the meantime, Nilay Islek started her own atelier, Artlens Visual Culture and Photography, which is a continuing education centre in the field of photography for eight years now. In 2016, Nilay Islek is chosen for the international title of Fujifilm “X-Photographer” as the first woman photographer from Turkey. She’s been given Basic Photography Courses Fujifilm Education Centre in Izmir as the official instructor of Fujifilm. She worked as a lecturer at Izmir Economy University between 2015-2018. On the other hand, her academic career is going on at the Ege University Faculty of Communication, Radio, Television and Cinema PhD program. She lives and continues her life of art in London. We are a fun and affordable dance school that takes pride in producing future stars who are destined to dance. Our classes are great for building confidence, making new friends and of course, promoting health and well-being through physical exercise whilst having fun! The MAE Foundation’s mission is to provide support and resources to individuals touched by cancer in an effort to improve one's quality of life. The MAE Foundation will achieve this by promoting and providing Navigation & Survivorship Services to any individual affected by cancer. The MAE Foundation is founded in the name and memory of Mary Ann Ellison who lost her battle to lung cancer at the age of 59 in 2002. In 1997 Mary assumed the role of full time caregiver to her youngest son (25) when he was diagnosed with chronic myelogenous leukemia and required a bone marrow transplant. She provided her unique brand of care for approximately 18 months continuously. She became an expert in oncology and her son’s biggest advocate. Her son credits her care as a critical component to his survival. Late 2001 Mary received her own cancer diagnosis. For her it would be stage 4 non-small cell lung cancer.

Symptoms of dementia often result in progressive changes to cognition, memory or ability for individuals. These symptoms may mean a change of communication needs for both those living with dementia and those who support them. There is a lack of accessible creative resources available to people living with dementia and we want to change this. We aim to provide access to effective creative arts activities that build connection, identity, confidence, and joy. We have experienced the magical moments that occur when people are enabled to express themselves creatively, and we want to empower you to make magical moments of your own.
