Mental WealthThe Mental Wealth Project is a mental health literacy education programme for young people. The aim is to equip young people and their families with knowledge, tools and skills to reduce stigma, improve wellbeing, spot warning signs of mental distress, and enhance access to the right care and support when they need it. Le Va delivers tailored face-to-face workshops in secondary schools, sports-clubs, churches and other community settings. This Mental Wealth website was designed to complement these workshops. Because the online world is a significant community for young people, The Mental Wealth Project also includes social media and gaming as important things that can impact on mental health and wellbeing. The team at Le Va co-designed and tested the programme over 2 years (2017-2018) with young people, Pasifika and Māori rangatahi, parents, teachers, secondary schools, rugby league clubs, sports coaches, clinicians, mental health organisations, gamers, suicide prevention specialists and cultural knowledge holders. My name is Pierre Noah and I am one of the five men who rescued an individual during the Black Lives Matter march on the 13 June 2020 in central London. After the video footage of George Floyd's death went viral on social media, the peaceful demonstrations planned in London to show solidarity changed over the course of the week and became increasingly violent once right-wing extremists announced that they were also going to attend the march in central London. Watching this on television at home prompted me to call my associates to support me under the umbrella of my security company ARK Protection Limited and to work in conjunction with the police to ensure safety for our young men and women who were attending the march peacefully. ACC was established in December 2020 following our intervention and my appeal to the Prime Minister for support to rebuild broken communities. Samuel Kasumu who served as Special Advisor to Prime Minister Boris Johnson was instrumental in supporting and facilitating the establishing of ACC. The Cookery Courses Courses are either half-day or full-day. On the full-day course, attendees will spend the morning or evening preparing the recipes and then enjoy what they have prepared at a sit down meal. The courses are taught in a small group setting, with a mixture of hands-on cooking and demonstration, in a fun and friendly setting within our home. You can book a course as individuals, where you will have a chance to make new friends or book as a group of friends, family or work colleagues, to have a fun day together! The cooking classes offer a great team building opportunity. As such, I also run Corporate and Team Building workshops. There are further courses specifically for children and young persons ( I am DBS registered) and those with particular dietary requirements. Please contact me for further information. There is something for everyone! Book to attend for special occasions, be they birthdays, anniversaries, Valentines, Mother’s and Father’s Day or other personal milestones – the list goes on.
