The Body Happy Organisation is a social enterprise dedicated to promoting positive body image in children and young people. Through student workshops in schools, staff training CPD workshops, learning resources and peer support, we help schools - and all organisations that work with children and young people - create environments that nurture the body esteem of the kids in their care.  We're the only body image education organisation in the UK made up of a multi-disciplinary team of professionals, including educators, doctors, counsellors, nutritionists, dietitians, media professionals, health psychologists, body image researchers and weight inclusive fitness trainers. We have a rigorous impact measurement process and a high level of in-house accountability with a Board of Directors that includes a GP, a teacher, a project manager and our founder - author, campaigner and journalist Molly Forbes.  Our focus is on prevention and culture change, and we are currently working with The University of Lincoln to delve into the science behind our approach and framework.  Our framework consists of:  * CPD staff training workshops * Student Sessions workshops for children and young people  * Learning resources  * Peer support * Books and bespoke designed physical resources, including our signature affirmation activity card deck, stickers and posters We also have an Online Masterclass for parents, and run quarterly interactive webinars for parents and caregivers.  We can run in-person workshops in most parts of the UK. All of our facilitators are trained to deliver our programme and are highly experienced in running training and workshops with both staff and children and young people, and have specialist professional expertise and qualifications in body image / body image adjacent disciplines.  We have worked with many schools - in both the UK, Europe, US and Middle East. Welcome to Prendergast School. It is an honour and a privilege to be Prendergast School’s eleventh Headteacher and to work with staff, students and families. Staff here are passionate about ensuring the very best opportunities and education for all students. We were founded in 1880 as Prendergast Grammar School for Girls on a site in Catford provided by the Leathersellers’ Company, which then funded the school’s move to its current site in 1995. We are now part of the Leathersellers’ Federation of schools, a group of three secondary and two primary schools as well as Prendergast 6th Form. We are very fortunate to be part of the Federation and receive a lot of support from the Leathersellers’ Company, that helps our students succeed. We are very proud of our last Ofsted judgement of Outstanding in all areas, our third Outstanding judgement in a row. We are described in the most recent report as ‘exceptional’ and having ‘exemplary attitudes to learning’ across the school. We do achieve great academic results at Prendergast School (more information is on the website). However, as a parent or carer you also want to know that your child is happy and safe. This is very important to us and we pride ourselves that students feel confident in school and thrive under our care. It is important that when students leave after their time with us that they do so as well-rounded individuals who have had many different experiences, able to overcome challenges and most importantly to learn from their mistakes. It is important that students get involved in school life as much as possible. We have a wide range of extra-curricular activities and we do encourage all students to get involved. We expect all students to attend school journeys. Communication is very important to us. We always like to know what we do well and what we can improve on further. We are London Arts and Health! We support artists, creative practitioners and health professionals across the whole of London and beyond. Promoting excellence and engagement in the field of arts and wellbeing, and extending the reach of the arts to communities and individuals who would otherwise be excluded. Through our activities, we work to promote, develop and support the understanding of what the arts can do to contribute to a healthy society, in London and nationally, and by so doing to encourage the use of the arts in settings beyond the mainstream. We are the leading support sector organisation, advocate and expert for arts and health in London. Our vision is that the power of arts and culture transforms and enriches Londoners’ lives and health. WHAT WE DO We hold industry events, share information and opportunities through our newsletter to 5.5k subscribers, and publicise arts and health activity by sharing on our social media channels that reach around 20k users. We deliver arts and health training and creative wellbeing sessions to health care staff to bridge between the arts and the health sector. We are a member led organisation and have spent a lot of the past year talking and listening to our members. We have focused on digital solutions during the lockdown and explored ways of supporting a sector in crisis. We undertook in-depth research of our beneficiaries and developed a tool for practitioners, the Digital Sandpit. We created and launched a new digital tool, pARTner up to support the Thriving Communities Funding bid, which encourages cross-sector partnerships and supports cultural organisations of any size to be on an equal footing. We have recently released a new website commissioned by the GLA, containing the Arts and Culture Social Prescribing Mythbuster Guide. The resources include information, resources, case studies, podcasts and an animation for anyone interested in cultural social prescribing in London. We deliver a yearly Creativity and Wellbeing Festival that went from a small London festival to national in 2019 and saw over 50,000 attendees taking part in around 600 events. The week is held in partnership with the Culture, Health and Wellbeing Alliance. For ten years much of our work has been supported by Arts Council England and we are proud to hold the status of National Portfolio Organisation. Hertfordshire-based BE-A Education is the operator of the highly successful and fast-growing New Skills Academy and Staff Skills Training businesses with a mission to make learning accessible to consumers and businesses globally. To date, the award-winning company has sold nearly 1 million courses to consumers in over 30 countries. The strategic investment, in partnership with BE-A’s founders, marks a new phase in BE-A’s continuing mission to bring affordable and accessible upskilling courses to consumers and businesses globally through its direct-to-consumer platform, New Skills Academy, and its SME-focused business platform, Staff Skills Training. Addition Capital’s acquisition was part financed through an undisclosed commercial loan from Shawbrook Bank.
