I am self-taught ceramic sculptor. My passion for painting and sculpture began as a young child and is still my main obsession in life, a means of expression, my therapy, my greatest love. I add a quirky, sometimes humourus twist to my female forms and my animal sculptures. I work from my imagination preferring to avoid realism at all costs! My work is hand built useing coiling or slabbing techniques. After fireing my pieces are finished using crackle glaze, underglaze or stains which are wiped back to emphasise textures. I use grogged earthenware and stoneware handbuilding clay. I sometimes paint fantasy designs with acrylics and also teach in my home studio in Worcester. I am living my dream. My work has been exhibited in UK galleries including Guildford House, Birmingham, Bowes Museum, Gloucester, Wolverhampton, Worcester and many more. I also exhibit my sculptures at the annual Showborough House sculpture exhibition, Twyning, Tewkesbury. I have worked with different media over the years in the wedding industry making wacky bride and groom wedding sculptures. I was commissioned by the BBC to surprising chef Ainsley Harriott, with a caricature of himself on the TV show Ready, Steady, Cook. I have also discussed my huge, wacky sculptures on TV whilst exhibiting them in Bowes Museum, County Durham. A big thrill for me was being commissioned to create small sculptures to be photographed for the front cover of Vogue Italia. Another TV commission was lool a like clay figures for celebrities Matt and Emma Willis. I sculpted a large chocolate wedding centrepiece for actor/singer Gareth Gates.

About NSW Netball South West is managed by the Regional Management Board (RMB) which consists of voluntary, elected and appointed trustees. The trustees chair one of 5 working groups which are responsible for matters such as ‘competition and events’, ‘education and training’ and ‘marking and communications’ and have certain other responsibilities such as heading up our relationship with Team Bath. The RMB is responsible for the management and development of Netball in the South West, identifying and meeting the needs of everyone involved in netball to enhance participation experiences and encourage the uptake of the sport. The RMB co-ordinate the Regional Performance Programme, organise the Regional Leagues, oversee the strategic future of netball in the South West and continually seek to develop coaches, umpires and volunteers. I am a self employed artist, tutor and workshop leader. My personal working practice is figurative, incorporating my own dance movement language and working from other models and figurative imagery in the out comes of drawing, mixed media, art works, painting and printmaking. I have recently began to explore sculptural mediums and working with clay and throwing on the wheel. I am particularly inspired by the visual narrative gained from documentary and fashion photography and use my own and sourced photography as a visual aid. I currently I am currently teach and facilitate a regular figure and life drawing class, which is of a good standard. I enjoy tutoring adults as well as joining in with drawing and allowing others valid input into the group. I also run family Saturday morning art workshops at ocean studios which have included experimental painting and fun painting and drawing games, narrative book making, clay tiles, printing, marbling, badge making etc I also own my own portable printing press and can lead monotype, dry point etching and Collagraph print-making. I recently completed a year-long ‘defining practice’ course at the Newly School of Art and I endeavour to continue developing my own artists practice as well as working within the community in diverse ways, whilst drawing upon my wealth of experience. I am also keen to make drawn portraits of people at community street events. I continually visit and enjoy art exhibitions, live music, arts cinema, dance performance, theatre, comedy, street performance.
