Medway NHS Foundation Trust operates a single-site hospital based in Gillingham, Medway Maritime Hospital, which serves a population of more than 424,000 across Medway and Swale. We provide clinical services to almost half a million patients a year, including more than 125,000 Emergency Department attendances, more than 88,000 admissions, more than 278,000 outpatients appointments and more than 5,000 babies born last year. As an NHS Foundation Trust, we have a 26-strong Council of Governors and more than 10,000 public members. We employ around 4,400 staff, making us one of Medway’s largest employers. We currently have many apprenticeships in the organisation, ranging from level 2 to level 7, and close to 400 volunteers provide invaluable support across the League of Friends, Hospital Radio and the Voluntary Services Department. The hospital is made up of two clinical divisions – Unplanned and Integrated Care and Planned Care – supported by corporate functions. Each clinical directorate has a dedicated leadership team comprising Divisional Director of Operations, Divisional Medical Director and Divisional Director of Nursing. The Board of directors, led by Chair Jo Palmer, comprises seven executive directors including Jayne Black, Chief Executive, and nine non-executive directors including the Chair.

Edinburgh Marine Academy is a marine training centre based at in South Queensferry, just outside Edinburgh. The company was set up in 2019 to fulfil the rapidly expanding training requirements in Scotland, the UK, and Europe. The Academy provides all levels of maritime training for those just beginning to go out on the water and looking to purchase their first boat, right up to those who want to work commercially in the marine industry. All training is delivered by qualified and experienced RYA / MCA instructors in house at our Queensferry base, or can be delivered in a location of your choosing, such as a place of work or home port. Previous and existing clients range from leisure users who are looking for training and advice on how to use their boat safely and get the most out of it, up to commercial operators who are looking to train large numbers of employees. Our Story In the 1980s both Judi and Alex were serving Police Officers and in the 1992 Alex left to join the London Ambulance Service. During their service, they both witnessed the importance of good First aid care and, having a passion for teaching, started out as freelance instructors for other companies. Unfortunately they were both disappointed with the quality and pricing of many of those providers. Judi become fed up with Alex's constant comments that he could "do better, cheaper" and told him to "do something about it!!!" Alex and Judi Brazkiewicz formed Holos Healthcare & Training Ltd in 2004 to deliver high quality First Aid at Work training. Alex and Judi between them, currently have almost 35 years front-line Emergency Services experience, and almost 50 years training First Aid. They are backed by a passionate team of instructors - hand picked for their experience but also their ability to "Teach the Basics - but also to Teach them Well". Services Our courses range from brief 2 hour introductory seminars and 1/2 day Basic Life Support (BLS) courses to the 1-day Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) and 3-day First Aid at Work (FAW) to the 5-day Level 3 First Responder on Scene (FROS) courses. We plan to bring together all groups and individuals in Sandwich who are interested in the late medieval period who wish to contribute to the living history of Sandwich.We are a Charitable Incorporated Organisation, a CIO, formed in 2018 with the objective registered with the Charity Commission: To advance education for the public benefit on matters to do with the late medieval period, ie approx. 1330 to 1480 with a special focus on the heritage of Sandwich Town, Kent, in particular but not exclusively by providing a maritime and land based crafts “living museum”. Aims We plan to bring together all groups and individuals in Sandwich who are interested in the late medieval period who wish to contribute to the living history of Sandwich. The base for our activities is the wooden boatyard building on the slipway by the Quay, the Sandwich Medieval Centre. A special focus is engaging with young people. In addition to the centre being an historically interesting visitor centre, it will also be the base for educating and mentoring juniors in medieval crafts and skills to ensure that the rich history of Sandwich in this period is not lost to future generations.
