He has been with the practice since 2005. High on David’s agenda is communication with the patient, which ensures best practice and patient understanding. As well as operating clinics at our Weybridge site, David also has his own business offering a home visiting service in the Camberley area called Goods Podiatry and Footcare. He brings an enthusiastic, professional, caring, and modern approach to Podiatry and our team. Tristan has a keen interest and focus on the Biomechanics aspect of Podiatry, particularly with regards to the biomechanics of cycling. In addition to this, Tristan is able to offer a variety of Podiatric services; including Nail surgery, Verruca treatments in addition to general Podiatry and Chiropody. Of particular importance to him, is the continued professional development of his knowledge and skills. Tristan splits his time with his own practice in Staines as well as working here at The Footcare Centre.

I am an artist, designer and tutor (the fun bits), as well as marketing manager, social media guru, content writer, website designer, photographer, video editor, sales person and book keeper all rolled into one. I love all things magical, mythical and fantastical, which I think creeps out just a little in my work! I like to appeal to the inner child that lurks inside us all and encourage people to allow their imagination out to play once in a while. Here are a few (hopefully) interesting facts about me and how I got here: I grew up in Hertfordshire, then moved around the UK following my studies and my career. I now live near Bishop Auckland in County Durham (North East England) with my partner and my Daisy dog. I was never interested in traditional art at school and honestly cannot recall a single art lesson beyond primary school. I have a Chemistry degree and a Masters in Forensic Anthropology. I am quite an extreme introvert and can happily go days without any human contact. I spent seven years working in Liverpool as a Crime Scene Investigator (CSI), followed by nine years teaching CSI's from across UK police forces and internationally. In 2015, I started making things in my spare time and started selling some of my creations at local craft fairs. In 2016, I discovered fabric sculpting, became the first certified Powertex tutor in the North East of England and began running my creative workshops in my spare time. In 2017, I was made redundant from my role as a Forensic Trainer and decided to use the opportunity to change careers completely and become a self employed 'artist'. (Most of my friends and colleagues thought I was a bit crazy at this point!) Since 2016, I have brought fun and creativity into the lives of countless adults and children through my workshops. I have also put smiles on the faces of even more people through exhibiting, sharing, displaying and selling my creations. And this is what I love so much about what I do now. I love sharing the happiness I get from creating. I love seeing that little smile appear when people see my creations at markets and events. I love seeing the joy and pride people get from creating something themselves. So, thank you for supporting me. Even if it is just by visiting my website or liking my facebook page, it all allows me to continue spreading happiness as well as making me a very happy, creative bunny.

We are delighted to announce the appointment of Ellen Marsden as our new director of the Dorset Rural Music School. A former pupil of Chetham’s School of Music, Ellen graduated from The Guildhall School of Music and Drama as an Oboist, playing professionally for many years in leading orchestras in the UK and abroad; she was Principal Oboe of the Royal Symphony Orchestra of Seville for five years, latterly becoming Principal Cor Anglais in the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra where she remained for nine years. In 2009, Ellen was appointed Director of Music at Sherborne Preparatory School, she later progressed to become a freelance Creative Project Manager and Producer developing large scale Schools and Community projects in the South West. Ellen has been living in North Dorset since 2000 and knows the county and its musical scene well. We are delighted to have secured her services and are confident that she will lead DRMS forward into an exciting future without losing sight of our original aims and ethos.

Like many people in our profession, I didn’t exactly grow up dreaming of working in ELT, but what made me fall in love with it was two main things: ❤ The opportunity to work directly with people and help them to help themselves change their lives for the better. ❤ The great colleagues I got to work with, as a teacher, teacher trainer, manager and materials writer. Working as a business and mindset coach with ELT freelance professionals enables me to combine both those things, and to use the skills and experience I have to have a real impact. One of the things I don’t like about ELT is the way that so many excellent professionals are underpaid, undervalued and scraping by. I also far too often see people working themselves into the ground. This might be OK when we’re in our early twenties with no responsibilities, but it’s no way to run a sustainable and enjoyable professional career.

Internal Quality Auditors(IQA) Chris Fisk is our Health and safety IQA and ensures we meet all the awarding organisations exact standards. He is an aircraft engineer and experienced trainer and qualified IQA. Ann Davis is our First Aid IQA and ensures we meet all the awarding organisations exact standards. Ann taught First Aid for the Red Cross for 7 years and was the training manager for the West Midlands.

Family Mindful Photography Workshops are an inclusive photography project to enable parents and their children with little or no experience of photography to start their own artistic practice while building their confidence. Using the participants’ own cameras (this includes a smartphone camera), this project aims to introduce children to the art of photography. “I got in contact with Pierre recently to devise and deliver ‘Family Mindful Photography Workshops’ at Autograph Gallery. The workshops exceeded expectation with the level of thought and attention to detail in planning, as well as Pierre’s putting families at ease that were new to the Gallery and partaking in photography. Everyone- parents and children- left high praise in their feedback from the activities, they were extremely happy with the activities and with the way Pierre engaged with them throughout. Prior to establishing Dan Choi Architect, Dan was a development manager at Douglaston Development where he oversaw large-scale mixed-use projects in NYC. Dan was also a partner at the renowned architecture firm FUKSAS and has worked at the offices of SOM, Perkins + Will and at Rem Koolhaas’s OMA. Dan received his Master of Science in Real Estate Development from Columbia University and his Bachelor of Architecture at Cornell University.
