The 100th BOOBS Approved venue is a new cafe-bar in Swinton, Salford. Hadfields cafe became BOOBS Approved after opening just weeks ago.Be Open on Breastfeeding Salford (B.O.O.B.S) and our sister project BOOBS in Bury are open community groups set up to empower women to be open about their breastfeeding experiences and inspire others to breastfeed for longer. We believe every mum should have the chance to have a happy, safe and comfortable breastfeeding journey. BOOBS is part of our parent social enterprise Visit from the Stork CIC and was first set up in 2014 by CEO Kimberly Bond. The project is led by Rachel Parkinson (Project Manager), Kerry Purle (Administrator and Peer support lead) and our team of amazing volunteers. Meet our team here. We support mums by; Offering online and face-to-face breastfeeding support across Salford and Bury, Running monthly social and educational Breastfeeding cafe events at our BOOBS Approved venues in Salford and Bury Holding antenatal ‘A BOOBS introduction to Breastfeeding’ sessions for mums-to-be, currently in Prestwich but open to all mums. Pram walks and small meetups in Radcliffe, Bury Campaigning for mums to be supported in the community through our BOOBS Approved campaign. Offering a membership scheme with exclusive discounts at our BOOBS venues to support families and local businesses.

WHICH ORGANISATIONS: Brought heads of private sector organisations, public sector bodies, political leaders and leaders of NGOs together into a collective learning space. Their common goal was the desire to have a positive impact on their organisations, their countries and their region. We have held these across Sub-Saharan Africa as well as within the region of Southern Africa, Asia (drawing people from India, Bangladesh, Pakistan and Malaysia) and Latin America. WHO WE WORKED WITH: Leaders, influencers and manager from a diverse cross-section of sectors and occupations. WHAT WE DID: Offered established leaders from the public, private and voluntary sectors who are at or near the CEO level, an opportunity to transform what they and their organisations do. This was done using transformational leadership theory and experiential learning techniques to enable cross-cultural conversations and mutual learning. This enabled each individual to draw on new techniques and cross sector experiences to develop their thinking and practice. OUTCOMES: Leaders who lead with a greater sense of themselves, the systems they work in and the wider network of leaders that they can both influence and draw on as a resource. Shifted the way leaders see their responsibility and accountability not only to their organisation but to the wider context in which they work. Created a network of leaders who together are committed to make change.

ABOUT ANNE WORDSWORTH Anne has a wealth of experience having worked in five accountancy practices in East Anglia and the Midlands. Starting as a trainee accountant when she left school in 1994, she worked her way up to a Business Services Manager where she maintained a large portfolio of clients. Anne has dealt with all aspects of clients’ financial affairs and a range of business sectors and sizes ranging from micro business start-ups through to businesses with a multi million pound turnover. In 2013 she headed up the accounting function for a medium sized business with an annual turnover of almost £25 million. This provided Anne with a great insight into the day to day aspects of running a successful business, and an experience that has been useful for both herself and her clients. Having worked in accountancy for more than 25 years, Anne is a fellow member of both Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and for the last 10 years has held an Accountancy Practising Certificate. Anne loves nothing more than helping and supporting Cube’s clients in the planning and strategic side of their business, but away from the office, Anne would rather be at Wimbledon watching the tennis, enjoying a walk or by the sea!

The Cambridge Information and Intellectual Property Meeting (CIIPM) was founded by Jane List of Extract Information and Stuart Newbold of Patent Search & Information Management in 2015. CIIPM hosts an ‘annual’ meeting and provides training in IP matters and patent information search and analysis. The CIIPM meeting provides an opportunity for knowledge sharing for those engaged with the commercialisation of technologies using intellectual property, and those needing information to make legal and commercial decisions. The annual meeting offers an afternoon of talks, workshops, and discussions, a small exhibition, networking opportunities, and has hosted a post graduate student poster competition. CIIPM also provides unique training courses blending theory and practice in IP Matters, IP Commercialisation, and Patent Searching for Legal and Commercial Insights. Training courses take place throughout the year virtually and at venues in Cambridge, UK, or by arrangement at your office or other location. Following the March 2022 meeting CIIPM have established a programme committee to help us maintain the strong programme and networking. On behalf of everyone at Tynemouth Golf Club we extend a very warm welcome to both our members and visitors alike. It is our privilege and honour to be Captains for the year 2022/23 and to play our full part in ensuring all enjoy the excellent facilities both playing and socially available at our wonderful club. The face of golf is changing throughout the world and in the UK. New rules and innovations came into effect in 2019 and a new World Handicap System in late 2020, with the aim of making the game more enjoyable for all. Innovations such as speed golf, mixed competitions, easier playing/fun options are to be encouraged and with the help and support of all members from the most senior to most junior we feel sure that the club will move forward with success. TGC is one of the most attractive "parkland courses" in the North East. This par 70, 18-hole course is situated minutes from the beautiful village of Tynemouth, recently voted one of the best villages to visit in the country. The course offers a very fair challenge to all levels of golfer and the course record of 64 shows that to any golfer it is not as simple as it first appears. Planned level of improvements at the club are continuing and its environs will continue to remain in good condition at all times of the year. The club is proud to have completed an improvement program to the greenside bunkers in late 2020. Following that, we now have the addition of our brilliant new outside terrace which has proved extremely popular this summer with both members and visitors. We regularly have the popular “tunes on the terrace” in the summer months where different artists perform alfresco. We also have plans to further improve our clubhouse over the next few years. Membership is thriving at every level from new starters, juniors, low handicap to senior golfers. We are very well represented at County and Regional level, in multiple leagues from Junior to Senior. The gents team performed excellently in the Newcastle and District Golf League Division 1 finishing a creditable 4th place in 2022. Our professional John McKenna, oversees our adult "academy" for beginners, which was the brainchild of our club manager Paul Whittaker, and this has proved a great success. We extend our thanks to the members who acted as mentors and enthusiastically supported the initiative. The academy will continue to develop and encourage new golfers to enjoy the game and our Club. John also has a thriving junior academy which is very popular with both girls and boys of all ages.

In 2012 Anita founded The Positive Parenting Project, a social enterprise which aims to bring the benefits of proven evidence-based parenting strategies to as many parents (and children) as possible. Anita started her career in international development, spending four and a half years in Mongolia where she went through both of her pregnancies. (Her eldest son learnt to say ‘mummy’ in Mongolian before he said it in English!). Anita also spent time in Hungary and Kazakhstan. Anita has studied developmental psychology (child development) to postgraduate level and is an accredited Triple P® parenting coach. A leading UK parenting expert, she speaks at events across the country and delivers parenting seminars, webinars and one-to-one support. She is regularly featured as a parenting expert on TV and radio. Fascinated by children and how they develop, Anita has a talent for helping parents view their children and their own parenting strategies from different angles. She is adamant that there is no such thing as a perfect parent and says her ambition with her own children is simply not to make the same mistakes too often. After becoming a single parent, Anita changed careers. She worked as a strategic manager in a local authority children’s services for nine years, setting up and managing early intervention, targeted and specialist family support services including Sure Start Children’s Centres, parent support lines, teenage pregnancy prevention projects and intensive family support.
