At EarthCraftuk we have over 12 years experience delivering a variety of nature based programmes including: Forest School Leader Training, Woodland Skills Continued Professional Development Workshops, school visits, youth accredited engagement programmes and experiential Forest School programmes; witnessing first-hand the transformational effects experiences in the natural world can have on the physical and mental health and wellbeing of all participants, and the fulfilling career paths it can often open up for adult participants. At a time when we on average spend 90% of our time indoors, our work at Earthcraftuk is driven by the evidenced impact of being in nature. Green spaces promote physical activity, social interaction, exposure to sunlight and reduced pollution, which all boost health in various ways, including reduced levels of stress and anxiety, aided sleep and a feeling of connectedness with the world, and one another. We have trained over 400 participants on Forest School qualification programmes; worked with a number of community groups; supported school and youth experiential and accredited programmes and also developed a Campfire Management Award for Kent County Council and now also working with Veterans on our Health & Wellbeing programme called Veteran Trees We are very grateful to use stunning private woodland owned by the Dawes family of Mount Ephraim Gardens – a philanthropic family who support our mission.

F-Keys Ltd

The Keys that open the doors to knowledge Alex Waterton is passionate about helping people to do things the easy way, which is why he started a business revealing the secrets of the Microsoft Office applications that people use every day. “There are easier ways to do many things in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft OneNote, Microsoft Access, Microsoft Project – and most people are just not aware of what’s possible,” he says. F-Keys was launched back in 1998 and became a limited company in March 2000 and the current team includes Carol Downey Microsoft Certfied Trainer, who started out originally as one of Alex’s students and worked her way up to become a Microsoft Office Specialist Instructor, and Microsoft Certfied Trainer just like Alex. Also on the team is Jo White, who was Alex’s tutor and mentor during his time at Mid-Kent College when he studied for his JEB Teaching Diploma qualification before continuing on to complete his Certificate in Education at Christ Church College Canterbury. Having developed a training suite that allows students to work in comfortable (rather than cramped) conditions, Alex and the team at F-Keys are flexible and passionate about designing the ideal learning solutions for individuals and businesses. “At F-Keys first we work to understand what a business wants to achieve and then the courses are customised and built around the learners. The focus is on how to make the most of the features and functionality within Microsoft Office so that the processes and people using them are ultimately more efficient and productive.” One of the most important aspects of the F-Keys training is to encourage people to become more confident and aware in their use of these programs, so that they begin to find their way around more easily to solve their own solutions rather than disturbing fellow staff members or simply following the manual blindly.

You want the best for your child. You want to know they have been able to reach their fullest potential. My motto ‘no child left behind’ resonates with all families who have faced delays or denials to services. I taught for over 17 years and was a Head of Year to over 360 children, but I left my mainstream position to forge a better pathway when my son was 12 weeks old: I’ve not looked back since. During the pandemic I witnessed many children suffering with speech regression, especially my autistic families. I decided to undertake training in Speech and Language Therapy and Occupational Therapy for which I obtained a ‘High Distinction’ and in 2021 I successfully completed a MSc in Psychology (specialising in SEN) which informs my work. I am also registered with the BPS (British Psychological Society). Recently, ‘The Learn to Shine school’ appeared on the BBC after winning the ‘Making a Difference’ BBC award. I have extensive experience of working with and supporting children with Autism, PDA, foetal alcohol syndrome, Selective Mutism, ADHD, Dyslexia, complex emotional and behavioural difficulties, with significant results. It is essential to me that your child is nurtured as an individual, and given the correct tools for the rest of their life. I support numerous companies as an SEN consultant and currently advise Talent management The YMU group on neurodiversity. I am often interviewed for magazines and radio stations on SEN matters and want to dispel the myths out there! I created ‘Learn to Shine school CIC’ around the birth of my own little boy and girl. I know how hard parenting can be, and the challenges families face in the world of education, My passion is to enable every child, including my own, to be able to ‘Shine’.

Welcome to our Espression Arts Family, make yourself at home whilst I pop the kettle on. How are you today? Espression Arts is a creative community led by Me, Catherine, the founder, the glue behind our special, arty enterprise. I live in a small village partner to a very patient Daddy Jean who puts up with the hours of work and energy we give to projects and our clients. I am Mummy to my two beautiful children, Melodie 7, and Jerome 11, who are often with me on projects and at events, along with Daisy Dog who sometimes comes along too! I grew up with a creative and hard-working family, My dedication, work ethic, and focus for things I believe in, I get from them. My Mum who now lives with Parkinson’s in an annex in our garden spends her spare time when she isn’t bowling in the village as one of Espression Arts many creative volunteers. If I am not working I am found snuggling on the sofa watching films with a gin and tonic! Whilst studying Visual Arts at Goldsmiths University London I enjoyed spending my spare time getting to know the local community, working in pubs, and helping with play schemes. Since then, I spent 25 years developing my community facilitation and project management skills starting in youth work management working for an environmental charity in Southeast London. In 2009 we left the big city and started our Pottery Painting Community Journey in the historic town of Canterbury, opening our interactive arts café. This is where our family grew with everyone who loved pottery painting as much as we did! Sadly, the interactive arts café, closed at the end of 2020 during the Covid19 Pandemic, but we are still going strong! We continue sharing arts and wellbeing experiences with others! Happily our Espression Arts Family is just getting bigger and bigger as a result. In 2017, our family business became not for profit and became a Social Enterprise which has helped us to take profits from sales of our ceramic products, parties, and workshops, combined with successful grant applications, and deliver some of the best community projects in Kent. I am proud of our position in the local community feel respected for both business and charitable, endeavours, before the pandemic we were awarded Kent Messenger Best Creative Volunteer Project for both Canterbury and all of Kent, we were even finalists for Kent Dementia Friendly Awards. We under-promise and over-deliver with passion for people and give everyone the opportunity to experience art. There are many ways you could support our creative family!
