blue kite stained glass
I trained as, and still am, a graphic designer. That bold graphic style comes
out in my glass work, but the reason I took up glass was for a creative break
from the computer, and to do a practical craft. What I couldn't have foreseen
when I took up what I thought would be a little hobby, is how addictive glass
is! The day I did a brief taster session I was hooked. Three years later I had
completed a postgraduate certificate in Glass and Fine Art at Central St Martins
in London, followed by the same qualification again, this time in Glass and
Architecture. Those courses and the wonderful tutors taught me a wide range of
glass skills, brought me some of the most creative moments of my life, and gave
me a group of friends who shared this love of glass, and whom I would later
exhibit with as 'Teepee Glass'. As a result I have been fortunate to exhibit in
some amazing places, and have completed commissions small and large for a
variety of customers. If you are interested in a glass commission I would love
to speak to you. And if you'd just like to be kept informed of future
exhibitions, use the button at the top, to join my enews mailing list.
