Stephen started riding at the very young age of eight, having nagged his mum and dad to let him start lessons. When he then asked to help at the local riding school, he was told he was too young but was so insistent his parents offered to pay for him to be allowed to help! 20 years later and his love and commitment still hasn’t worn off. When Stephen left school, he immediately started working at a riding school, doing the usual mucking out duties, helping back young horses and also started teaching. Over the years his experience has grown, working freelance for a while and for the last few years has been working at Biggarshiels Carriages. Through his work there, he has been able to add carriage driving to his C.V. At C.C. Equestrian, Stephen has broken four ponies to drive and competed one of them, Alfie, in minor competitions. Brink Literacy Project is devoted to utilizing the power of storytelling to positively affect the lives of people on the brink. Through our education, community, and publishing divisions, our nonprofit works worldwide to foster a love of literature, increase literacy rates, and use storytelling to empower underserved communities. Our Education division delivers innovative literacy and storytelling programs with a focus on increasing literacy rates and assisting personal development through storytelling. We have a strong focus on bringing our initiatives to low-income, low-literacy, and marginalized communities, whether that means teaching in prisons or creating completely original curricula to tackle low reading proficiency in our youth. Through our Community division, Brink forges partnerships with universities and other humanitarian and literary organizations. As a global community of readers, writers, artists, students, and supporters, Brink brings people from diverse backgrounds together to celebrate the beauty and power of storytelling. Our Publishing division, headlined by our print journal, F(r)iction, is the culmination of our efforts to #PublishWeird, pushing the boundaries of what, and who, is accepted in the literary world and providing a platform for underrepresented and trailblazing voices alike.

Kids love our after school clubs. Parents do too. At Trinity After School Club we are proud of the exciting and stimulating childcare we offer. We understand each child is different and that they want to get involved in different things. Every day there are planned arts and crafts activities, outdoor games, and quiet time for reading or to do homework. All the children get involved in planning the activities and outings at the after school clubs. They bring new ideas or develop initiatives suggested by the staff. The kids make sure we do interesting things and get involved in the community – from a tooth brushing project, writing a song and a performance on anti-bullying to building relationships with a local elderly residential care home. We make sure there is plenty of variety. Our experienced staff encourage an all-inclusive environment where consideration for others is paramount. Policies and procedures are in place to cover all aspects of childcare to reassure parents and guardians that we have their children's interests at heart. Flexibility of care is important to parents and guardians and we offer full-time (5 days per week) and part-time places (2, 3 or 4 days per week), and we operate a Crocodile Club for P1 and P2 children who finish earlier. We cover most holidays and in-service days and our team plan ahead with the children to offer a great range of holiday activities.

We are a team of highly experienced, enthusiastic and professional teachers who provide music lessons in a wide range of instruments. Our goal at ESM is to bring the love of music into all our student's lives in a fun and enjoyable way as well as providing all the necessary skills to pass exams, perform with confidence and compose music and songs. We are very proud to maintain a 100% pass rate in all our student's instrumental and vocal music exams making us Edinburgh's favourite music school for private music lessons. One - to - one tuition Lessons are available for a range of instruments including voice, piano, guitar, violin, viola, cello, saxophone, clarinet, flute, recorder and drums. We offer one to one private lessons in our studio in Meadowbank or online lessons. Groups We offer a range of music group activities including our Baby music groups (for ages 0-5), youth singing groups, performance coaching workshops and summer school music groups. Please contact us to find out the groups that are currently available. Concerts At ESM we believe that learning to make incredible music is just not as rewarding if you don’t share it with others. We provide monthly showcases at Edinburgh's Jazz Bar in addition to end of term concerts. This gives our students plenty of opportunities to showcase their progress and develops our pupils into confident performers. Unfortunately, due to current restrictions surrounding concerts, we are unable to host any concerts at this time.

The kitchen is the root of it all, serving a daily menu of breakfasts and lunches that are equal parts healthy and indulgent. From daily stews and sandwiches, to cakes and mac 'n cheese, we love feeding people and creating fresh salads and smoothies that put a smile on your face and nourishment in your body. As part of the holistic experience, we built a space upstairs that is calm, nurturing, and safe; this space is the Beetroot Sauvage Wellness Centre, offering a variety of yoga classes and therapies. All classes focus on gentle movement that not only stretch and relax the body, but allow you to feel into it, explore and perform self-enquiry into your emotional and spiritual needs. A space to rest and focus inward, to thank the body, and to draw close attention to healing. Along with a weekly schedule of classes, we have a variety of therapists, whose knowledge of healing the body is rooted in their own journey, training and experience. They blend sensitivity and magic to create a safe space that allows you to honour your needs and embrace rejuvenation with full intention. In addition to our focus on the kitchen and the body, we have our little slice of heaven, our city sanctuary garden: a rustic space that you can dance in, eat in, laugh in, or bring plants and garden in. As often as possible we have musicians playing live music on Sundays and we thoroughly encourage dancing if you feel so inspired. We do!

Founded in 2012, we aim to re establish and promote ceramics teaching and practice which has been disappearing from mainstream publicly funded university and college education. We are a Scottish Qualifications Authority Approved Teaching centre dedicated to delivering a high quality learning experience across a range of learning pathways from beginners to intermediate and advanced classes. Bychoosing to study with us you are make a real difference. We an ethical employer, employing expert teacher practioners and suppliers and we pay ethical rates. When you join us you are not only supporting our classes, you are also joining and supporting a vibrant ceramics teaching and practice community. When you study with us you become part of a wider family of practice dedicated to building and promoting learning and teaching ceramics in Scotland. Our ceramics ecosystem includes our learning and teaching programmes, our Ceramic Artists Residency programme, our Business Incubator programme dedicated to supporting emerging potters start and maintain their own studios and our workshop programme aimed at giving proferssional potters access to new techniques and influences. We work with Craft Scotland to facilitate Continued Professional Development (CPD) for school teachers in Scotland in the fields of Ceramics and we work in partnership with the Edinburgh Ceramics Workshop to provide affordable making space for serious hobbyists and emerging ceramicists. Learn about civic life in Linlithgow and celebrate the town's rich royal heritage. This gallery features our stunning Mary, Queen of Scots statue, which was the first life-size statue of her to be commissioned in Scotland. Discover our trades and industries including dyeing, explosives, pharmaceuticals and electronics. Kids (and adults) will love the hands on interactives which include make your own medicine, design your own banner, and even a smelling interactive. In this gallery visitors can learn about the Linlithgow Marches, sports and leisure, politics, education and so much more. Key objects include Tam Dalyell's typewriter, our Waldie digital interactive and the hugely impressive Scotch Brigade banners. Our flexible space for activities, talks and film screenings. Check out what’s on. The space is available for use by local groups and currently featuring a display of historic costumed dolls, and an exhibition celebrating 200 years of the Union Canal. Our dedicated team of volunteers have played a critical role in delivering an ambitious activity plan. Since moving to Tam Dalyell House, volunteers have contributed over 4,000 hours of their time. They have researched, documented, conserved and photographed the collection, conducted oral history interviews, taken part in archaeology digs, planned school sessions and developed activities for young people. We've run an animation project with St Josephs and Low Port Primary Schools. Bridgend Primary co-curated our first community exhibition. Springfield, Linlithgow and Linlithgow Bridge Primary Schools have delivered drama and song writing performances in the museum. We’ve delivered reminiscence, oral history programmes, community film showings and much, much more.
