I love being hands on creative, cutting, sticking, chopping, painting, splattering but also being quite techie and having trained in pattern cutting and tailoring somehow marries perfectly with knit/crochet design and pattern writing. I have worked in house at Rowan yarns for almost 20 years being the Senior Designer, technical manager and also styling and art directing the majority of photo shoots it is a varied and rewarding job. I have also pursued an independent side with tutoring at residential workshops in Tuscany and more locally plus selling my wares at yarn events such as Yarndale. For an anxious hermit these can be a bit of a worry but the reward of meeting all the crafters and other designer makers is always worth it!

After a two-year hiatus, Littleborough Arts Festival is back! We have worked hard to pull together a programme of events that we hope will have a little something for everyone, whether you’re a music lover, a keen crafter or just fancy a fun-filled day out with the family. My passion for nails & teaching has gone from strength to strength the past 3 years. There’s honestly nothing I don’t adore about my job - the knowledge I have absorbed, the client base I have gained & the online classes I have held throughout the COVID-19 lockdowns. It really is true that ‘you get out what you put in’. I actually studied Dance at University, unbeknown to me that it was not going to be my career path. I got to my 3rd year & something clicked, it was not making me happy anymore. I knew I always had a creative streak - I just had to figure out where to channel it. Beauty was always a passion of mine - I loved doing make up for a while, but it felt more of a hobby and I soon shrugged it off. Then the next minute, I found myself watching more nail tutorials on YouTube than I was actually studying! A big sign. I then began to research nail courses, plenty of them in fact! Fast forward... I graduated Uni, completed my nail course, and the rest is history! I truly found my feet when I found my love for nails. Now I want to help people do the same.

Here at our school we deliver traditional Irish Dance lessons for children in Bolton, aged 2 and above. We aim to promote fun, friendship, fitness and above all, a love of Irish Dancing. Every pupil will be encouraged to develop their dancing to the best of their ability within a challenging yet supportive setting. We believe this balance is a key factor for the motivation of any successful dancer. As a pupil of the Shamrock School of Irish Dance, children will have the opportunity to participate in display performances as well as grade examinations, local and international competitions. All pupils will be directed and trained towards technical excellence and improve their confidence and fitness whilst having fun dancing! Display performances are an excellent opportunity to share our talent within the community whilst developing pupils' teamwork skills. Within the class setting, there will be a focus on flexibility, stamina and technique. Pupils are encouraged to strive for success, both on a personal and competitive level. The Shamrock School of Irish Dance is registered with the organisation - An Coimisiún le Rincí Gaelacha. An Coimisiún is the largest and most recognised Irish Dance Organisation in the world.
