Born over a decade ago out of an obsession with the mountains, Nonstop runs a collection of ski and snowboard courses for those that share a love of snow and dream of pushing their level. OUR ROOTS It was in the backcountry of Fernie, British Columbia that the Nonstop concept was conceived. The idea was to combine progressive ski and snowboard coaching with like-minded travellers to create truly life-enhancing experiences in the mountains. We will forever look back to Fernie as our original source of inspiration, and blueprint for future exploits: a hardcore hill combined with a real mountain community. This has fuelled our expeditions across Canada and beyond.

I am a senior lecturer in Early Childhood Studies at Bath Spa University and Director of Free Range Creativity. My background spans over 25 years experiences of outdoor arts, play and learning, ranging from founding the Uk’s first environmental education theatre company to internationally renowned academic expertise on forest school, outdoor creativity and eco-social justices. I co-founded the South West Forest School network, knowing from experience and research that group cooperation and support has essential value. In my consultancy, I support practitioners to set up and develop their work outdoors. I love and use creative, fair, democratic and feral approaches. I’m always open to experimentation and welcome a challenge!

Taking a realistic approach to the rollercoaster ride of emotions and the big physical changes that happen during and after pregnancy, I offer a range of classes, coaching options and doula services online and in Somerset. Over the past 14 years, I have helped hundreds of women and their partners adapt to becoming new parents, some for the first time and others adding more to their crew. Everyone is different and a one-size-fits-all approach just doesn't work.

west wilts youth sailing association

We teach children 8 to 18 years. We have 3 evenings a week.  Adult course 4 weeks per annum  First aid course annually  Radio controlled boat club We are a charitable trust, based at a lake in Westbury, Wiltshire and our primary aim is to introduce young people between the ages of 8 and 18 to the sport of sailing. Starting in 1967 we had just three boats and a group of keen volunteers. Forty years on we now have 19 boats, two safety boats and a team of RYA qualified instructors so are able to offer sailing tuition to approximately 100 children per week throughout our season. The association is self financing and run completely by volunteers. We are a Royal Yachting Association recognised teaching centre and would love to teach you how to sail.

We also offer glass engraving allowing for bespoke messages on glass baubles, wine glasses and a range of our custom made glassware. Handmade stained glass windows, door panels, sun-catchers, lampshades and many more items can be commissioned through our stained glass studio, where we also undertake many restoration projects. Let me tell you where it all started! I have always had a fascination for our environment. Fossils and nature intrigued me and I went on to study geology at university. For many years I worked as an exploration geologist then a hydro-geologist. I learnt many things, including how delicate and fragile our environment is, and how important it is that we respect it. It made me think about where our drinking water comes from, where it goes to and how vulnerable our water supplies are to pollution. I discovered that pollutants from everyday household rubbish can easily (and quickly) end up in our drinking water, and many of these pollutants are readily bought off the shelf in our local supermarkets. It made me really start thinking about what and how much I was throwing away. Then I became a mother! After the birth of my son, I became even more interested in how our environment, and the products that we use, could affect our health. I discovered that we are surrounded by an increasing range of toxins, carcinogens, and irritants in common use around the home, garden and workplace. Products we eat, breathed or put on our skin every day! I was horrified and decided that something had to change. So I started looking for solutions and GreenLifeOrganics began. I believe that our health and our environment are interlinked in ways that we will never fully understand, but if we strive to improve our environment, then there is a good chance that our health will benefit. And if we all make small changes towards leading a healthier and more sustainable life, then there is a good chance that our environment will benefit.
