Bath Aqua Glass is proud to be an independent glass production company specialising in beautiful lead-free handmade fused glass jewellery, unique gifts and glassware decorations, tableware and art glass, and custom stained glass commissions. You can watch us at work in the studio and we have a range of activities (like Bauble Blowing which kids love), Bauble Making and Stained Glass Making courses. We also run Hen Party craft activities and have a lovely Wedding glassware collection. We are based in Southwest England in the historic and beautiful city of Bath. Occupying two central locations, our "Theatre of Glass" Studio & Factory Shop is in the artisan quarter of Walcot Street and the sister shop is situated next to the Ancient Roman Baths and the awe-inspiring Bath Abbey. Our online shop has an abundance of wonderful treasures on offer, including handmade glass vases, glass bowls and ornaments in a wide range of colours and designs. Our signature colour is aqua blue, reminiscent of the healing aqua waters synonymous with Bath. Our shops are some of the most interesting Bath shopping experiences and you can watch us work at the studio. We employ traditional methods to make our beautiful glass products and do not use moulds to create our glassware produce. This means that our glassware is unique and more personal from craft to gift. We also offer glass engraving allowing for bespoke messages on glass baubles, wine glasses and a range of our custom made glassware. Handmade stained glass windows, door panels, sun-catchers, lampshades and many more items can be commissioned through our stained glass studio, where we also undertake many restoration projects. I'm a Mum, business owner, environmentalist, singer, truth seeker, writer and essential oil lover! I love connecting with like minded people and I am so pleased that you are here! My passion is educating about the power of plant medicine and empowering families around the world to live happier, healthier and more sustainable lives, as well as achieving financial and time freedom. Let me tell you where it all started! I have always had a fascination for our environment. Fossils and nature intrigued me and I went on to study geology at university. For many years I worked as an exploration geologist then a hydro-geologist. I learnt many things, including how delicate and fragile our environment is, and how important it is that we respect it. It made me think about where our drinking water comes from, where it goes to and how vulnerable our water supplies are to pollution. I discovered that pollutants from everyday household rubbish can easily (and quickly) end up in our drinking water, and many of these pollutants are readily bought off the shelf in our local supermarkets. It made me really start thinking about what and how much I was throwing away. Then I became a mother! After the birth of my son, I became even more interested in how our environment, and the products that we use, could affect our health. I discovered that we are surrounded by an increasing range of toxins, carcinogens, and irritants in common use around the home, garden and workplace. Products we eat, breathed or put on our skin every day! I was horrified and decided that something had to change. So I started looking for solutions and GreenLifeOrganics began. I believe that our health and our environment are interlinked in ways that we will never fully understand, but if we strive to improve our environment, then there is a good chance that our health will benefit. And if we all make small changes towards leading a healthier and more sustainable life, then there is a good chance that our environment will benefit.

The Grange runs outstanding residential cookery courses which can act as a spring board at any stage in life. The Essential Cookery Course is a fun, creative, practical and useful way to spend four weeks, especially following the rigours of the final years of school, university or an intense career… or any other phase of life! It is a really valuable experience which can give the skills, friendships and practicality to last a lifetime, as well as being invaluable in making very employable assets out of able students. This four-week course will build your confidence in all areas of cookery, as well as menu planning, presentation and kitchen management...." Jamie Magazine Many of our past students have had amazing careers cooking around the world working in great chalets in the Alps and America, on glamorous yachts in the Mediterranean and Caribbean, in beautiful villas, on tropical islands, on safaris in the wilds of Africa and on its rugged coast, on horseback safaris in Mongolia… the list goes on! Our students have worked in many stately homes around this country and in Scottish lodges. Other students use the course as the first step to a career in the food industry – as journalists in top magazines, running restaurants, cooking agencies, cookery schools, party planning organisations, event management and catering companies. They also love to cook for their family and friends. Amongst our famous alumni are Pippa Middleton, Santa Montefiore and Danny Goffey (who came third in Celebrity Masterchef). Ellie Howes We use the best local ingredients from our gardens, nearby family farms and artisans to make dishes from around the world with fantastic flavours, that are easy to cook. Jane Averill, who leads the Grange, is as passionate about produce as she is about her students. Her global travels enable her to understand and educate about food and cooking through dishes from Europe, Asia and the Middle East. WHAT'S IT ALL ABOUT? Our approach is light touch with minimal intervention in the environment and prioritising nature. We are currently developing our site facilities and creating spaces for small groups and low impact events. These include bushcraft, forest school, wellbeing sessions, forest bathing, yoga, pilates, artist retreats etc. We’re already working with schools, charities, youth and arts groups. If you've got a small scale event, workshop or idea you'd like to make happen, we would love to hear from you. Just drop us a message on our contact page. NATURE Our ethos is very much one of balance, so for us plants and animals are as important as people. We are currently working with fantastic environmental advisors to establish what plants and animals are currently residing on our site. Our aim is to protect the habitats that already exist, create a comprehensive management plan and increase biodiversity where possible. It's all about the science! In common with most of the British Isles the land here has been managed by humans for hundreds of years - a mixture of farming, park land and old tree plantations. It’s not wild in the true sense of an untouched natural ecosystem but it’s a special place that has been left pretty much to itself for several decades. We’re just starting our long term project to create more detailed surveys of the flora and fauna, and are excited to meet and work with new people. Caroline Waldegrave is the founding Principal, former Managing Director and co-owner of Leiths School of Food and Wine, one of the most prestigious and respected cookery schools in the country. After 33 years’ involvement, Caroline retired and became a non-executive director on the board of Leith’s in 2009. She was also Chairman of the Guild of Food Writers for several years, and a former member of the Health Education Authority. Caroline was awarded an OBE in 2000 for services to the UK catering industry. Her passion and enthusiasm for teaching and love of food have continued to be the fundamental drivers of Caroline’s work. Since stepping back from day-to-day involvement in Leith’s School, Caroline has focused on imparting her wealth of cookery knowledge at Dudwell School, on the site of the beautiful Waldegrave family home, Dudwell Field Farm. In addition, she owns the Barley Mow pub in London's Marylebone with three of her four children, as well as being a director of the family organic dairy farm. Caroline is also in demand for media appearances, and has been seen on various TV and radio programmes, including Chef School, Masterchef and Tricks of the Trade. In what spare time she does have, Caroline enjoys playing bridge and tennis, and attending the theatre. Publishing Caroline is the author or co-author of a range of cookery books. These include the Leith’s Cookery Bible, Cookery Course and Cookery School books (co-written with Prue Leith), Leith’s Easy Dinner Parties (co-written with Puff Fairclough and Janey Orr), Leith’s Fish Bible (co-written with CJ Jackson), The Healthy Gourmet, and the Low Fat Gourmet. Many of the recipes you will cook on the Dudwell courses will be taken from the Leith’s Bible, but you will also benefit from a copy of the Dudwell cookery book which you will take home at the end of the course, or which is available to buy separately here.
