Tiny Tickers is a small national charity with big ambitions. We’ve got a proud track record of helping improve the detection, care and treatment of babies with serious heart conditions, and we have exciting plans to do even more to help in the future. We were founded in 1999 by world-renowned fetal cardiologist Dr Helena Gardiner, when she realised many of the babies she was caring for could have been helped earlier. Our chief executive, Jon Arnold, is the parent of a child who has had open heart surgery for a major defect, and he heads our team of staff and volunteers based throughout the UK. Mission and need We want to increase early detection rates of cardiac conditions because we know that spotting a defect early can improve a baby’s chances of survival and long-term quality of life. Around 6,000 babies are born with a serious heart defect in the UK each year, and around 1,000 of these newborns head home with no one realising their lives are in danger. We are changing that. We train sonographers to spot defects during routine pregnancy scans; support families with a diagnosis; campaign to improve service standards; raise awareness; and support academic research. The Survey Association, known generally as TSA, is the trade body for commercial survey companies in the UK. The association was formed in 1979 to give a focus for private sector businesses in land and hydrographic survey. It is important to realise, however, that it is not a regulatory body. The role of TSA is to promote best practice amongst its members, provide a forum for members for discussion, debate and continuing professional development and, to the wider audience such as engineers and architects, provide guidance on new methods and techniques and a list of suitably qualified and experienced companies. Today, the association has over 200 companies in membership as full, associate, supplier, affiliate or academic members directly involved in the geospatial profession. TSA is also involved in lobbying Government departments when appropriate and other agencies such as the Environment Agency regarding policies likely to affect or involve the survey profession. TSA meets regularly with RICS and CICES on a range of issues and has established a group called the SLG, or Survey Liaison Group. This body convenes at regular intervals to examine matters of mutual interest and to ensure that there is little or no duplication of effort by the three bodies. Representatives from the Geospatial Commission also regularly join SLG meetings. The Royal National College for the Blind (RNC) is honoured to be the UK’s leading specialist residential college of further education for people with a visual impairment. Since 1872, we have been building on our expertise and successes, which enable the College to offer a variety of products and services to a diverse audience. It’s not all about education for the 100 or so students who come through our doors each year. We also offer specialist training and support to businesses, universities and other education providers, and specialist professionals working with visually impaired people. From philanthropic beginnings in London to Shropshire, via a brief stay in Kent as World War II broke, to finally settling in Hereford, RNC has remained a beacon for people with a variety of visual impairments to increase their independence, build confidence and to learn academically, vocationally and socially. The College is proud of its 150 year history and of the pioneering work it continues to do, including sports, lobbying, work based learning and independent living skills. Partnerships with key organisations, businesses and individuals enables the student body to participate in a range of activities from Duke of Edinburgh Awards to national elite sports events – amazing experiences that students tell us really add to and change their lives. Amplify is a training and development consultancy led by Tom Burke. Founded in 2003, amplify provides services primarily to the voluntary sector with a focus on children and youth issues both in the UK and in the Global South. Tom has an extensive history of personal, professional and voluntary work with children and young people and the wider voluntary sector. From a child involved in youth work and global child rights advocacy, he developed skills and experience as a practitioner and advocate. He can bring this mix of experiences into work as a trainer, writer and consultant. Most recently, Tom was Deputy Chief Executive at Y Care International, the international development agency of the YMCA movement. He led their International Citizen Service youth volunteering programme, safeguarding & security, global youth work, policy & advocacy and financial management. Working part-time this was balanced with a range of freelance projects. Previously, Tom grew up in the youth and child rights movement. As a young activist, he was a member of the steering group of the Child Rights Caucus at the UN Special Session on Children and director of social enterprise ‘Young People Change the World’. He was engaged in local youth participation initiatives creating platforms for young people to be heard or to access services, including in sexual health and children in care. Tom was Chair of Trustees of youth-focussed international development charity Peace Child International. He was previously Senior Policy and Change Officer at the Children’s Rights Alliance for England, where he specialised in children’s participation rights, undertaking policy analysis, Parliamentary lobbying and campaigning for change. Over the past 15 years, he has undertaken consultancy for a range of clients on projects ranging from safeguarding, inclusion, evaluation and research projects, training and direct delivery.

We have been a plumbers association since 1925 and represent large plumbing and heating companies working on commercial projects, to sole traders working in domestic properties.
