athan is the CEO of LifeLine Projects, an East London based charity dedicated to finding solutions that positively impact the lives of individuals and influence the systems that govern us. Nathan has worked at LifeLine since 2003 and has developed key relationships with schools across East London providing a ‘pastoral partnership’ in the form of mentoring, alternative provision and youth leadership programmes. Nathan also developed and spearheads LifeLine’s award-winning Vision, Identity and Purpose (VIP) Framework, an approach to working with young people, employment seekers, volunteers and parents. Prior to this he worked for the local Children’s Fund as a Community Liaison Officer. He continues to support youth organisations by providing education and mentoring advice and training. Nathan sits on the Health and Wellbeing Board, The Children’s Partnership and is a governor of a local secondary school. He continues to work with young people on a voluntary basis in addition to his day job to ensure that policy and practice remain connected.

ABOUT N-ACT THEATRE COMPANY N-Act is a not-for-profit touring theatre company who specialise in delivering interactive performances to educational establishments, colleges and the wider community. Under the leadership of Artistic Director and founder Dr Sharon Williams, the company’s motivation is to use the power of interactive theatre to entertain, to ignite curiosity, provoke thought, and to educate young people to enable them to make informed choices. Through an interactive approach, the audiences have a greater emotional engagement with the topics and empathy with the characters. All performances have had a notable impact on the audiences, both in terms of the theatrical experience and a continuing dialogue with the audiences. The N-Act team comprises professional actors with extensive experience of TV, film, theatre, script writing and backstage production with many successful workshops and performances in the wider community. N-Act Theatre Group is proud to be a multi award-winning company, having recently won the “Members of Parliament Inspire the House – Best Contribution of a Community Group” at the 2022 Kids Count Awards, nominated by Sir David Amess. We have also been the recipients of the prestigious High Sheriff of Essex award in recognition of valuable service to community safety.

Our students are enthusiastic, motivated and ambitious to succeed and maintain very high standards of behaviour and engagement in their studies. They are encouraged to be reflective and creative in their thinking and to become increasingly independent learners as they progress through the school. Achieving Success Every student will need guidance and encouragement and at Seven Kings we aim to meet individual needs by providing the right level of challenge and support to ensure students reach their full potential. We support students with this by focusing on providing quality teaching, responding to their needs to ensure the right level of stretch and challenge. There are a range of intervention and support programmes for those students who need extra help, such as those with learning difficulties. We are very proud of the inclusive nature of our school and aim to personalise learning and teaching so that every student is able to succeed. There is a structured home learning timetable and all students are given a planner to help them organise their time and workload. Parents/carers are asked to check this on a weekly basis. There are home learning support clubs at lunchtimes and after school to help students if they need it. The school also has Learning Mentors to support students and mentoring schemes with both staff and student mentors available to support students. Beyond the Classroom There are many opportunities for students to take part in extra curricular activities at Seven Kings. A large number of clubs and activities take place outside lesson times. Staff are committed to providing different opportunities to enrich the lives of Seven Kings' students. Subject based clubs, such as those in Art, Drama, Music, Science, Sport and Technology enhance the curriculum and many trips and visits support classroom learning. We offer a number of residential trips, to places like Paris, Spain, China, outdoor pursuits and a skiing trip to Austria. Students are encouraged to enter competitions and to contribute to the community in different ways. Our peer committees and student leadership programmes help develop leadership skills and provide opportunities for students' views to be heard. There are termly Music concerts and many Drama productions each year which help students develop their performance skills and their self-confidence. The P.E. department run many school teams and have enjoyed considerable success in local competitions.

We love Leamington Spa in the UK, and we love being part of a fantastic church community that is really seeking to make a difference. The church has a rich history upon which we are building for future generations. The church building, formerly known as St. Michael’s, was built around 1900 and was the chapel to a girl’s reformatory school. During the 1930s, many families in Leamington Spa were becoming Christians, and so a Pentecostal movement bought the building, using it for regular church services. The church, now called Life Community Church, became part of a network of Pentecostal churches called the AoG (Assemblies of God), which is made up of around 600 churches in Great Britain, and is the sixth largest denomination worldwide. In 2012, there was a leadership transition and David and Leanne Bolton felt the call of God to lead the church and start an exciting journey of repurposing it. Their dream today, like those in the past, is to see many more families in Leamington Spa and across the globe, coming to faith in Jesus. Today, we are a growing, life-giving church for all ages and backgrounds, and God is drawing people to us from all nationalities. LCC exists to help people grow in a relationship with Jesus Christ. Whether people arrive with no faith and are exploring Christianity for the first time, or have been Christians for many years, there is a place for everyone. We believe that Jesus came to give people LIFE and that is what this church is all about. BARKING ABBEY SCHOOL IS A VERY LARGE SCHOOL ON TWO CAMPUSES IN EAST LONDON THAT SERVES THE BOROUGHS OF BARKING & DAGENHAM AND REDBRIDGE. We are a non-selective, comprehensive twelve form entry school with a proud tradition of academic and sporting success. The school is very popular in the local community for both Year 7 and sixth form admissions and is heavily oversubscribed. Barking Abbey School was founded in 1922 as one of the first co-educational grammar schools in England at the site in Longbridge Road. At the time, it was situated in a largely rural area, with fields and farmland close by. Gradually, as Barking began to expand as a residential centre, the school became the focal point for the community with an educational provision of national standing. In 1970, Barking Abbey Grammar School was merged with Park Modern School to form the Barking Abbey School we know today. Many traditions of the old schools remain, but with important developments to enable the school and its pupils to be fully prepared to meet the challenges and opportunities of life in the twenty-first century. One thing remains central, however: we are an outstanding success. Barking Abbey school has a very large Sixth Form with approximately 450 students. As a result of this we are able to offer a large range of courses to our 16-19 year olds. We are proud of the fact that we are a multi-cultural community and we seek to celebrate our diversity in as many ways as possible. Tolerance of, respect for, and understanding of others are vital aspects of preparing young people for adult life. We want all of our pupils to Belong, Aspire, Succeed.
