I spent the first half of my career in a thick fog, and of course I got lost and ended up somewhere I didn’t want to be. I felt lost, miserable, and what little confidence I had was waning by the minute. I also became a total bore. I was consumed by how unhappy I was. I couldn’t even apply for another job because I didn’t know what I’d do. So I felt stuck. I had, by many measures, a great job, a great salary, in a great company. But I was in the wrong place. I was ambitious with nowhere to direct it, so it evolved into frustration! It took a fair bit of effort to turn it around, which started with working out what I wanted and developing some much needed confidence to get there. Thankfully I had a good basis with my Psychology degree, throw in a mountain of self-help books, a coaching and NLP qualification, a mountain of training on presenting and the like…and a real desire to build my brand, visbility, and expertise, meant I built a reputation for business and leadership transformation. That experience of having a big impact, being recognised, and having real influence made me feel like I could achieve anything. My values, purpose, and strengths were all aligned and I felt amazing! It came as quite a shock then to be confronted by my inner feminist one day. I’d had my first daughter (I now have 2), and was having a cheeky nap. You know how it is, I love my sleep! So for the first time ever, I sat her down in front of Nickelodeon so I could get some zzz’s. I was happily snoozing away when the advertising started to filter through to me. The ‘boys toys’ were all exciting and adventurous. The ‘girls toys’ made me want to vomit. All about being pretty and vacuous. I jumped off the sofa with an ‘oh hell no’! Ever since I was a little girl I’ve been driven by fairness. I think it may be because I’m the youngest of 4 and nothing ever seemed fair from my standpoint. My sister tells me of times I used to fight for gay rights at the dinner table and I was always arguing for what I felt was right (because it is). The one thing I’d never have called myself back then, or until that day, was a feminist. No, I’d been well trained by society to see feminists as embarrassing, hairy, dungaree-wearing angry women who made a show of themselves. This moment set a chain of events into action that lead me to start a political party where I live, and gave me the direction for the business I would later start.

Excel Women’s Centre CIC is an organisation based in Barking & Dagenham and surrounding boroughs which supports women, families, young people, carers and individuals with all issues affecting their quality of life and wellbeing. We work mainly in Barking & Dagenham, and now across a lot of East London, offering a range of dedicated services aimed to support our service users, engage and enable the community. Thus, we strive to empower individuals of all ages and ethnicities to become valued members of society. About Us Excel Women’s Centre, CIC, is community hub that has an open door policy and provides services to all women, children and families residing in the London borough of Barking & Dagenham and surrounding boroughs. The centre offer help to vulnerable women and their families to fight discrimination demand their right and increase their self-esteem and confidence within our multicultural society. Empowerment is the key focus of the organization throughout. With empowerment, more services will be provided and service users will gain the skills and encouragement they need to change their lives. By developing as an organization, service users will be able to see a range of activities materialise in the area of mentoring programs, youth projects, IT clubs, Job clubs, Parenting classes for new mothers, healthy eating sessions and many more specifically suggested by the service users. Excel Women’s centre would like all our services users of the organisation to be able to integrate into Barking and Dagenham borough as well as all around London and have the same accessibility to services that everyone else has in London. By working in partnership with service providers, voluntary and community groups, Excel Women’s Group will lead the way, by illustrating that marginalized communities can integrate into society and become part of the community at large. The group will strive to break down barriers in the area of language by holding English Language Classes and breakdown social exclusion by involving community members in various training schemes and volunteering projects which can help their future ambitions. Her training started by assisting Miriam Bartholomew (her mother and top hair and makeup artist in Cape Town S.A) for beautiful hair and makeup, as well as Dulcie Bebe in Australia for Makeup and Hair training with Toni and Guy London after studying specialist hair colour training with David Bartholomew ( her dad) Nominated in Sydney Australia for colourist of the year for Wella international. Victoria continued to work in film, fashion and commercials in the hair and makeup industry in cape town, Sydney and then returning to live in London for 5 years before moving to West Yorkshire then Liverpool. Her love of film grew and she embarked on a series of courses through Raindance Film in Soho, completing the Directing for Film and Producing course while working for them. This took her onto her next challenge choreography where she worked at London’s premier dance school on Oxford street London Dance works and learnt from the best contemporary dance teachers what works for theatre, film and music video’s understanding the different dance disciplines from ballet to hip hop. Following all of her incredible achievements, Victoria then decided to pass on her hair and makeup knowledge to the next generation and completed her Diploma in Teaching while lecturing as the lead makeup tutor for Riverside College in Cheshire up until August 2016 and from then on went on to create Global Makeup, Hair and Productions Academy Ltd.

As a coach I’ve been powering women for over half a decade to take a stand for their best selves, careers and lives. I’ve worked with thousands of women to shift from survive mode to strive and thrive and honestly, I’m just getting started ;) I love what I do and I’ve got big dreams, you could say I’m a woman on a mission! But I didn't always have it this figured out… The truth is I didn’t know what I wanted to do when I grew up. I spent my twenties trying to figure it all out, often feeling lost, frustrated and like I wasn’t realising my potential. In 2013 I’d reached a low point, I wasn’t happy in my job, living situation, relationship, I certainly wasn’t operating as the best version of me and I knew I had to make some big changes. That’s when I discovered coaching. Coaching and personal development became the catalyst for hugely positive change in my life. Of course, Rome wasn’t built in a day. I had plenty of figuring out to do, life decisions to make, and big action to take to create the career and life of my dreams. In fact, I switched jobs 3 times before I finally plucked up the courage to set up my business. But at the end of 2016, She Almighty was born - just before I turned 30. There’s nothing quite like a birthday milestone to create some urgency! I chose my freedom, and I haven’t looked back since. She Almighty has become my vehicle - to empower me and empower other women worldwide and I’d love you to be a part of that!
