We could include a wealth of clichés so often used when describing a
nursery/pre-school setting. However, we have chosen to buck the system somewhat
by effectively saying it ‘as it is’ and trying to give you an actual snapshot of
a typical day at All Kids. We have been told that the most sustainable settings
are those with a strong identity such as the ‘forest school’, the ‘bilingual
nursery’ or the ‘eco-friendly’ establishment. Rightly or wrongly we don’t really
fit neatly into any of these categories as we really do a bit of everything!
None of us really know where all the children will end up, what their likes and
dislikes will be or what strengths and passions they will adopt. Who are we to
try and impose these on them? We believe our responsibility is to offer as many
opportunities as possible so all children can have fun, develop strong
relationships, grow in confidence and effectively ‘find their place’, whatever
that may be.
