Whether you are a young classical, jazz or rock musician we have bands and groups at our three Music Academies (located in East Barnet, Mill Hill and Hendon). If you sing we have choirs, and if you are a teacher we have training opportunities and advice. We can hire out orchestral instruments if you are having lessons through us with one of our 170 qualified and DBS-checked fabulous teachers. We stage concerts regularly and every summer organise a seven night festival at the Arts Depot for all our schools. If you are three years or older we have something for you!

The School aims to cater for everyone. Children are accepted from the age of three years, and we provide classes for all ages, including adults. Children can train in ballet, modern theatre dance, tap and (when they are a little older) jazz, musical theatre, commercial jazz and contemporary dance. Adults, too, can attend ballet and tap. The majority of our students want to dance for sheer pleasure, some will want to work towards examinations and others may want to make dancing their career. Whatever their aims we give them every encouragement to achieve them. Dancing should be fun! Our first priority is that students enjoy themselves, safely and under the eye of experienced teachers. But dancing also provides other benefits: exercise and an improvement in posture and co-ordination; development of confidence and social skills; musical and artistic appreciation; the cultivation of imagination, to mention a just a few. All of our teachers have been through Enhanced DBS checks. Most of our teachers are qualified with the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD) and those who are working towards their teaching qualifications are regularly monitored. All are enthusiastic and work hard to ensure that a high standard of teaching is maintained at all levels. The Weston is a business partnership which aims to provide a friendly and personal atmosphere for students and parents. However, as a client of any well run establishment, you can expect to be afforded a business-like and professional approach. A number of facilities are in place for your convenience.

Hampstead Piano Academy is a private music school in Hampstead London that provides one to one piano tuition at all levels and ages, from young beginners to enthusiastic adults. Piano lessons in Hampstead take place at our studio in NW3. It is based in a quiet street within walking distance to public transport and nearby parking. Additionally, our piano studio is located in close proximity to surrounding areas such as St. John’s Wood, Golders Green and the London borough of Camden: Hampstead Village, West Hampstead, Swiss Cottage or Belsize Park. Our classes include individual piano lessons in classical, jazz and improvisation, as well as tutorials to prepare ABRSM, Trinity College and LCM theory and practical exams at all levels. Being a soloist can often be a lonely pursuit so we also offer piano duet lessons (ideal for siblings, couples, friends or neighbours) and music playgroup sessions for the little ones. Each lesson is carefully planned and our pupils get the teacher’s undivided attention. The learning process is tracked weekly and the students can request a termly report: a personalized guidance to know what to practice and how to do it. Likewise, Hampstead Piano Academy organises public concerts where pupils can showcase what they have achieved through hard work, dedication and fun. Prizewinners of international competitions, our piano teachers hold Master’s Degrees from London’s most prestigious colleges and conservatoires such as the Royal College of Music and Trinity Laban Conservatoire. Their performance experience, not only as soloists but also as a professional four hands piano duo, provides the students with a broader understanding of music making. Music is a wonderful experience that can be shared with and enjoyed by everyone, evoking fun, passion, laughter and more, and I relish the good fortune that enables me to work with many fine people. Bearing in mind that everyone is different I take pride in being able to help people to play whichever style or genre that suits them, be it classical, modern or something more jazz or blues orientated. Most music played by saxophone and clarinet benefits from accompaniment which I am happy to provide as much as possible on the piano, something that is often appreciated and enjoyed, as one of the greatest pleasures of playing a musical instrument is doing it with other people. All lessons are on a one to one basis, so everyone receives my full attention and can learn and progress at their own pace within the relaxed environment of my home studio near Elgin. Initially a half hour session is sufficient and will be all that most people require, although 3/4 or hour long visits can be arranged. I am proud to have successfully worked with students of all ages and abilities, I definitely subscribe to “It’s never too late to learn” and aim to have a positive influence upon all of my students. For those that wish to take them, I enter my students in the public examination sessions run by the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music including the more recently developed jazz exams.

Aviv Dance Studios was founded in 2002 by Nikki Avron. In August 2003, with the support of the Prince’s Trust, the Aviv Dance Studio in Watford was built and became the home of Aviv. In 2013, Nikki stood down from her role, and Fay Liberty took over as Principal/ Director. Since the founding of Aviv in 2002, adults and children in Watford and Harpenden have benefited from a large range of dance classes from beginner to professional levels with a particular emphasis on commercial or ‘MTV’ styles such as Street Dance and Hip-Hop.
