My natural predisposition for languages led me to start learning German at the age of 5. Soon followed by English, and then later on Spanish and Italian. After two Masters at La Sorbonne, one in International Relations & Languages and the other one in Diplomacy and Strategic Negotiations, I lived and worked in Spain, Italy, Germany and finally settled in the UK. Living and working abroad has been one of the best decision I ever made and set up the tone with how I would love my life moving forward. At Learn&Co, we do things differently. Have you been to Italy and loved the fresh pasta you ate there? Would you love to keep eating that yumminess at home, but can’t find the same quality and delicious taste anywhere else? Don’t worry: you are in the right place! Ciao! I’m Silvana, a 4th generation artisan pasta maker from Naples, currently living in London. My great grandad started a pastificio in Torre Annunziata (a town next to Pompeii) back in 1893. His daughter, my beloved nonna Rosa, took over in 1927. I came in the picture a several decades later: when I was a teensy weensy 5 year old, my nonna decided I was a bit of an handful, and put me to make pasta in order to save the house from destruction! As I grew up, I also helped in the pastificio, until it sadly closed in 1995. I started teaching how to make pasta quite a few years later, in 2013, because I was frustrated by the confusion and misinformation there is around pasta, pasta making, and Italian food in general. To this day, my biggest achievements are: appearing on BBC2 as a pasta expert, publishing recipe on The Local Italy, holding pasta making demonstrations in Harrods, and being included in a roundup of best workshops in Britain by the newspaper “i.”

Over recent years Sara Ward and her family have transformed their Victorian terrace house into an urban smallholding allowing them to have the best of both worlds. Nestled in West London, they are living the good life complete with 22 hens, three colonies of honey bees, a fruitful kitchen garden and a micro bakery which is making up to 100 loaves of bread each Friday along with hundreds of sticky buns, cakes and savoury treats. Whilst Sara and the family continue to expand their hands-on skills, they train and encourage others through their schools programme, writing, and series of courses that are run from Hen Corner throughout the year. Be it jam making, wood carving, bee keeping or bread baking, there’s always something new that we can learn.

The model allow them to speak about their social justice issues through high quality photographs and reporting skills, as well as it improves their wellbeing and work/education opportunities. Photojournalism Hub works within the community and formally and informally organises Open Forums, conversations with local communities with the aim to share knowledge and make appropriate recommendations on issues that are relevant to them.

About this Training Course  This 3 full-day course covers the design of systems for natural gas handling and treatment from the wellhead to the gas processing plant to achieve marketable products that meet desired product specifications. This course will emphasize on field handling equipment and separation systems, dehydration, fluid measurement, sampling and analysis as well as introduction into reciprocating and centrifugal compressors. It will comprise interactive presentations including exercises/quizzes. This course can also be offered through Virtual Instructor Led Training (VILT) format. Training Objectives At the end of the course, the participants will be able to describe and explain the following: Gas processing principles of dehydration (water removal) by absorption, adsorption, refrigeration and low temperature separation (JT effect) and basic associated equipment Gas processing in-depth by absorption using glycol and glycol proper (Pre- Cooling requirements, Dew Point control and related processes). Glycol regeneration including principles of stripping, DRIZO and Coldfinger. Process equipment involved for water removal by absorption. (Knock out drums; Contactor - absorber and internals, heat exchangers, re-boilers, pumps, filters and glycol storage). Principles of gas metering and types of meter (Measurement Units (MJ, BTU, nM3, scf and conversions). Typical gas contracts & sales specifications. Gas pipeline operations. Target Audience Production and processing personnel involved with natural gas and associated liquids to acquaint or reacquaint themselves with gas conditioning and processing unit operations. This course is for production operations engineers, operations field supervisors, facility engineers, process engineers, design engineers, operations personnel and others who select, design, install, evaluate or operate gas processing plants and related facilities. Course Level Intermediate Trainer Your expert course leader has more than 25 years of accumulated experience in the Oil & Gas Industry, particularly in LNG / Offshore LNG Industry as Project Manager (8 years) and Process Technology Design (12 years). From 2010 to 2012, he worked for TOTAL E&P as Manager of R&D activities related to LNG, FLNG, Gas Treatment and Safety Engineering. From 1992 to 2010, he worked for Technip, spending 12 years (1992 to 2004) in the Process and Technology Division, where he was the Principal Engineer on gas treatment and LNG projects such as Yemen LNG and Nigeria LNG. From 2004 to 2010, he was actively involved in the development of Technip Offshore LNG technologies as Project Manager - several patents filed, author or co-author of different publications on LNG transfer technologies. He has also been a member of: the Foreign Advisory Committee on the 2nd Trondheim Technology Gas Conference, Norway, 2-3 November 2011 the Steering Committee on the SPE Forum 'Economic and Sustainability Challenges in the Future Development of Sour Gas', Bali, Indonesia, 8-13 May 2011 The Technip 'Experts Network' as 'Main Expert - LNG' for several years He holds a 'summa cum laude' master's degree in Chemical Engineering from Rome University 'La apienza' (1992) and has been a member of the Italian Register of Engineers.
