Services for Adults with Autism in IrelandGheel Autism Services was founded in Dublin city in 1971 by a small group of parents of autistic people. The name Gheel originates from the region of Geel in Belgium where since the 7th century people with disabilities were supported to live in the community and not in institutions. The Irish Saint Dympna in the 7th century fled to Geel from Ireland and is credited with initiating this type of community living support model. The first service managed by Gheel was on the grounds of a building named St Dympna’s. Gheel champions and supports autistic people in the greater Dublin and North Kildare region. We provide day, residential, supported living and outreach services, with the goal of maximising independence and enhancing quality of life. All of our programmes are tailored to recognise the neurodiversity model, and co-operation with autistic people is a must! Staff receive regular autism-specific person centered training and they are equipped with the knowledge and expertise to enable each individual they support to have positive and meaningful life experiences.

Our Faculty members are thought-leaders in their fields, all grappling with contemporary legal challenges. Through a number of research groups, staff and postgraduate research students collaborate in research projects, the organisation of conferences and the publication of academic papers. Staff are currently engaged in many national and international collaborations and research projects funded by the European Research Council, the Irish Research Council and Horizons 2020. Each year, we welcome a number of visiting academics to conduct research in Trinity. The School publishes one of Ireland's leading peer-reviewed journals, the Dublin University Law Journal, and engages in interdisciplinary scholarship through its membership of the Trinity Long Room Hub and Trinity Research in Social Sciences. The School is home to the Irish Centre for European Law and the Irish Jurisprudence Society. Our undergraduate degree programmes are distinguished by research-based and research-led curricula, in which all subjects are taught by leading academics expert in those fields. Over four years, students become self-directed learners, mastering both the discipline of legal thought and the skills of critical analysis necessary for a reasoned appraisal of law's role in society. 175 students in each year study for degrees in law, law and business, law and French, law and German, and law and political science. Our vibrant taught masters programmes - with a majority of students from outside Ireland drawn from over 30 countries around the world - provide an opportunity for advanced legal study. In particular, they reflect Dublin's unique position as a centre of global trade and a technology hub. The Law School offers dynamic programmes of postgraduate legal research to over 50 Irish and international students. Many doctoral students provide teaching support to undergraduate students as they commence their own academic and professional legal careers. In all of our activities, we respond to the rapidly changing technological environment for legal education and scholarship, while striving to meet our responsibilities to ensure equal access to law and to justice. Void is a contemporary art gallery with up to five exhibitions per year showing the work of established international and Irish artists.Void is a contemporary art gallery that commissions and produces a visual arts programme that aims to challenge our audience and promote the arts to new and existing audiences. The programme supports a diverse range of artistic practices of national and international artists. The programme focuses on the collaborative nature of art and its ability to add to artistic discourse through exhibitions, events, discussions and partnerships. Through our commissions we work with a network of arts organisations both nationally and internationally to create specific projects. A key element of the gallery is Void Engage, our learning and outreach programme, which places participation and engagement at the heart of Void, making contemporary visual art accessible to visitors of all ages.

Fiona Melrose is a novelist whose debut novel, Midwinter, was long-listed by the Women’s Prize and her second, Johannesburg was short-listed for the RSL Encore Award. Fiona Melrose is Irish but was born in Johannesburg where she grew up. She has spent the majority of her adult life in the UK, first in London and then in East Anglia. Before becoming a novelist, Fiona worked in academia, NGOs, public affairs and as an emerging markets analyst. She holds an MA in Politics and another in Creative Writing. She is currently completing her 4th novel.

Established in 2015, Arran Street East is a craft and design studio based in the markets area of Dublin city centre, where we make pottery and woven homewares to our own functional designs. We have a studio shop and we teach craft skills in Dublin and in Schull in West Cork. We use traditional crafting techniques to make and teach our craft, throwing on pottery wheels (pottery workshops), and weaving on looms and frame looms (weaving workshops). Each piece is individually made by hand using locally inspired colours and materials, and while our pottery and textiles are designed and made to mix and match, no two items are exactly the same. In the summer of 2022 we opened a Creative Hub in Schull, West Cork, where we teach workshops, including pottery, weaving and baking. In 2016 and 2017, Arran Street East won the Best Tableware category in the Image Interiors Design Awards. In 2019 we were the Home Category and Overall Winner of the Irish Made Awards by Irish Country Magazine. In 2022 The Gloss and The Shopkeepers included us in the list of 100 Best Shops in Ireland.
