Glass blowing courses: Learn to blow glass at Clavering Glassworks, Essex 1 DAY BEGINNER COURSE This one day lesson lasts for six hours and aims to provide an intensive introduction to this most exciting and challenging of craft disciplines. Throughout the lesson, you will learn to gather molten glass from the furnace at a temperature exceeding 1100 degrees and manipulate it with a range of traditional glassmaking tools. You will be taught to apply colour and pattern to the clear glass so that by the end of the lesson, you will have produced a number of items from vessels to paper weights of your own design to take home and treasure. KEY INFORMATION: This glassblowing lesson is aimed at complete beginners, so no previous experience is necessary. Small class sizes - maximum of three students to one instructor so you will get plenty of one-on one instruction. All safety equipment and materials are provided. Please wear sensible, comfortable clothes, preferably layers, so you can remove the outer layer if you get hot; and flat, sturdy shoes. Long hair should be tied back. Complimentary hot and cold drinks will be provided but feel free to bring along drinks, snacks and a packed lunch. Lunch is available at the Lodge nearby. Students for glassblowing courses must be over 18 years of age. Please note that glass vessels and other pieces made during the lesson need to cool slowly in the kiln, so these can be picked up two days later, or alternatively these can be posted for a charge.

You can find me playing tennis when the weather is good, practicing BJJ, or learning how to snowboard. I'm interested in injury prevention and I enjoy helping others become more knowledgeable about their body!

Hi, I'm Dave, a fully qualified personal trainer, fitness instructor, sports massage therapist and nutrition specialist. I created Edinburgh Bootcamp in April 2016 when I first moved to Edinburgh with my 2 awesome little boys. Now with almost 3000 classes over the last 5 years, EBC has a strong community of amazing people who support each other every week both online and in the field. I love what I do and I make sure every class is the best it can be! EBC is everything you want out of an exercise class! You will laugh, you will sweat and you will feel alive! I developed my passion for health and fitness about 10 years ago and have since had a lot of experience working with people, coaching and now run my own online nutrition programme LeanFit. I used to be 20 kilos overweight and addicted to junk food. I have not always been into health and fitness! I decided one day that is was time to get a hold of my life and turn my health around, this is where my long and bumpy journey started. I have been through countless fad diets and I have fallen off the wagon more times than I care to mention. Ambrogio McClintock – RICEY – is the unique mix of Italian and Scottish giving you an extremely passionate and unforgettable instructor whose love and passion for skiing is infectious. His ability to connect with all levels and ages of learners makes each lesson an individual and magical experience. Ricey has over 20 years teaching experience, and is qualified to the highest level (BASI International Ski Teacher Diploma – I.S.T.D). He has taught in a number of countries from Scotland to Spain, Italy to France, New Zealand to Switzerland, and beyond, and in 2004 settled in Morzine where he has been teaching since. Ricey’s passion for teaching has lead him down a number of development paths to ensure that he is the best teacher he can be. He spends the Autumn coaching ski instructors for the European Speed Test (Giant Slalom), in Saas Fee with JJC Training. As well as ski coaching he is the resident psychological coach preparing the athletes and helping them to clear their minds, focus and realise their full potential. He is a Master Practitioner in Neuro Linguistic Programming after developing an interest in the psychological aspect of learning & performing early on in his ski teaching career. Ricey uses a number of methods in his day to day ski teaching and coaching. He takes great interest and pleasure in seeing the transformation of clients and helping them reach places they didn’t think possible.
