Saint Ives

We are motorcycle people. That means we care about you and your safety. Established in 2014, JJ's Motorcycle Training is owned and run as a family business. Dave and Amanda took over the daily running of the business in 2020 and continue to promote the ethos of safe riding at all levels. Amanda rides regularly and on every opportunity available but we do have to restrict her to the office sometimes to take your calls and bookings. Dave has been riding motorcycles for 45 years and training for nearly 30 years, with well in excess of a million miles covered in the saddle; you will usually find Dave out and about with the trainees, but mostly doing as he's been told by Amanda. Dave is committed to raising the standard of instruction across the industry but to still ensure that learning to ride is enjoyable. Our progressive learning policy ensures that there is a training package suitable for everyone whatever your age, riding ability or previous experience. Jim White Jim spent 30 years in the RAF and has been riding motorbikes since he was 14. He has a passion (some would say an obsession) for motorcycling, and his sole aim is to contribute to improving road safety among motorcyclists; the most vulnerable road users. Jim started the company in 2014 and despite retiring, remains available part time to instruct, when not travelling the globe on another adventure. Gordon Gordon is the newest member of the team and is currently training with us to gain his full instructor status. He has been riding for many years and on a variety of different machines; his calm approach and clear instructions helps put new riders at ease. Our team of highly qualified DVSA approved instructors will ensure that you receive the best quality training available in the UK today. At JJ's Motorcycle Training we know that motorcycling makes practical sense, but it's more than a means to get you from point A to point B, it’s your freedom. Whether you're a beginner or are looking to take your full motorcycle test, your safety, ability and confidence when out on the road is of paramount importance to us. Our exceptionally high quality training gives us a well deserved reputation, giving you peace of mind.

Camera School

I've taken other photography classes, but nothing compared to what I learned from the classes I took at Henry's. I looked forward to taking them each week. Jim, the instructor, was very knowledgeable, patient and explained the material with great detail. He took the time to fully answer any questions we had and provided quality feedback about my photography. Since taking the classes, everyone noticed the great improvement of my photos, and I'm more excited than ever to trying new things with the photography techniques I've learned. The other students in the class I was in also enjoyed it as much as I did, so much so that almost everyone took the more advanced classes together. Now, I no longer rely on the auto-mode on my camera and enjoy tweaking the setting and seeing the improvement of my photos. The classes and the expert instruction gave me the opportunities to see what potential my camera has and what setting work best in any given environment. I can't stress enough how many compliments on the improvement of my photos when posting on Facebook. My photos really now capture what I'm seeing, instead of dull version of real life. My only disappointment is that there's no more classes left for me to take. To anyone who wants to take their photography to the next level, The courses at Henry's Toronto are for you. Thank You Jim for opening my eyes on how easy it can be to capture truly special moments, and taking the lens-cap off of my imagination. - Kat Soderstrom FAQ/Contact Courses for Interchangeable lens (DSLR or Mirrorless) cameras I read everything I could get my hands on when I started photography as my new hobby and was skeptical that taking any courses would provide much more than I’d already learned. But I took the leap and signed up for Henry's 101 course with Jim Ogilvie. It was the best decision I made. Jim was great at explaining and demonstrating the various aspects of photography - I was amazed at how much we covered in 5 weeks. There’s no replacement for having an instructor walk you through concepts and answer your questions directly. I was so pleased that I signed up for 201 course with Jim and it was even better! I recommend both courses, whether you are brand new to photography or, like me, are self-taught and you know there may be some gaps. The quality of my work has grown and I credit Jim! - Judy Hauserman Taking the photo 101 and 102 courses at Henry's Toronto location are a great way to learn and be introduced to the world of photography. Jim is a wonderful instructor who is friendly, easygoing and has loads of knowledge on photography and different types DSLR cameras. These courses include both discussions and hands on assignments that further help you understand your camera and your new skills. - Sabrina Belardi-Redin

Durham

I am Dorothea Scales. I have founded Fidas Consent Training because I want to share my knowledge and experience of dealing with sexual assaults and rapes which I gained during my career as a Detective Sergeant. I have combined my passion for safeguarding with my enthusiasm for training – having an MA in education and being a qualified teacher gave me the skills set to develop and deliver my courses. Since leaving the Police in October 2021, I have already delivered to hundreds of students, pupils and their teachers, to Designated Safeguarding Leaders and University students, colleges, youth organisations, charities, and apprentices   I have combined my expertise as an ex-Detective Sergeant in Safeguarding and my experience as a teacher, to develop my completely unique consent workshops, presentations and now a cost effective eLearning package . I have trained Detectives, Police cadets and Police Special constables and probationers. I have developed courses for Police officers in dealing sensitively with victims of rape and confronting myths and misconceptions. I have lead  leading a Pilot project for Durham County Council in delivering consent workshops to local secondary schools.   Fidas Consent Training is about sharing my passion for safeguarding the truly vulnerable and giving every person an informed choice about consent.   As a qualified, experienced, and passionate safeguarding specialist, I have 16 years’ experience as a Police Officer, protecting the rights of children, young people, and adults.
