Taking a greater interest in dance, by the age of 5, Shanade began training in Ballet, Jazz, Tap & Acrobatics. As she grew older she spent more and more time growing her passion in dance - through hours after school in dance classes and rehearsals that would prepare her for the years of exams, showcases and competitions to come. At 18, after realising she wanted to pursue a career in dance, Shanade moved to London to gain enhanced training in commercial and hip hop dance styles. On completion of a year of training in London, she then moved to De Montfort University and successfully gained a 1st Class degree in Dance. Whilst completing her degree, Shanade began teaching dance finding a greater passion in passing on her own knowledge gained through her years of experience! Today as she begins her new venture in starting her own dance company, ADIA Dance Studios, she aims to inspire individuals to discover their own love for dance as she was able to.

All our Approved Driving Instructors use British Sign Language and are fully trained in teaching Deaf and hard of hearing people to drive. Plus they sign clearly and are patient and understanding. We modify our driving lessons to suit each pupil’s needs and have developed a safe sign-while-driving technique to help you learn on the move. This means you’ll spend more time driving and less time parked up. At the start of your first lesson the instructor will agree certain signs with you which they will use whilst on the move. These signs will continue throughout your driving lessons and can be changed or adapted to suit what works best for you. You will be taught the entire learning to drive syllabus which includes general driving, the reversing manoeuvres, the emergency stop, the ‘show me tell me’ questions and some mock (practice) tests too. Your instructor will also act as an interpreter for you on the day of your driving test and may sit in the back of your test to give you moral support and interpret for you and the examiner if you wish.

I got into climbing after watching my children climb at AAC (Anglesey Adventure Club) which I have now been volunteering with for 15 years. I went onto gain my outdoor qualifications with the help of ‘The Outdoor Partnership’ and became a Freelance Instructor, working up and down the country. I bought Ropeworks Active with my partner Rebecca back in 2016 and haven’t looked back. In my free time I enjoy getting out climbing and photography, mainly wildlife and the night sky. Welcome, this my story of how I came to be a Bob Ross instructor. I loved art when I was at school but never found the opportunity to develop this interest. A long career in farming nurtured my love of the countryside and I took enormous pleasure in observing nature; early mornings, sunrises and mists, majestic trees, sparkling sunshine on the water etc. Later in life, as fate would have it, I found myself laid up for 6 weeks after an operation, and with so much time on my hands, I needed an activity – in an attempt to keep me occupied my wife gave me a painting by numbers kit. After that first very basic kit, I had begun to rediscover my love of painting. I rapidly moved on to acrylics then watercolours and then one day I came across Bob Ross on the television and was fascinated by his ‘Wet-on-Wet’ technique of painting with oils. I was amazed at the incredibly professional and delightful paintings which were possible to create in just one sitting and I watched his programmes over and over again. By 2011 I had attended Bob Ross instructor workshops to learn this method of painting for myself. Passionate about sharing this wonderful way of painting with others and discovering I had a natural aptitude for teaching, in 2012 I qualified as a Bob Ross instructor for ‘Wet-on-Wet’ floral techniques and in 2013 returned and qualified in landscape painting. My classes in my studio in Great Glen, Leicestershire, are friendly and relaxed and above all informal. We have fun together, make new friends, gain confidence through learning a new skill and anybody, even someone who has never picked up a brush before can produce a fabulous piece of art over the course of the day to take home and enjoy – a painting to be proud of. I guarantee you’ll have a thoroughly enjoyable and rewarding experience.
