I started at a young age at my Grandmother’s knee, she was the most accomplished needlewoman I have ever known. By the time I attended secondary school, I could knit, crochet and embroider as well as turn a seam by hand and machine. The sewing machine was always out during my teenage years and has never been far from me since.
