Working as a Beauty Therapist since leaving school and running a salon of her own, Christine has years of experience in the Beauty industry. Whilst training and managing her staff she realised that she had a passion to train others and raise the standards of training, so she decided to complete her PGCE, and moved on to work as an assessor in college. She did this for 13 years before leaving the college to teach in a private academy (where she worked with Tracy). Here she led the training in various brow and SPMU treatments. As the Head tutor here at The Beauty Hub, Christine teaches the majority of our courses. With her vast experience and knowledge you know you are in safe hands! A few words from Christine - ‘I love teaching and feel that 1:1 tuition delivers the best results possible for my students to make sure they really understand every part of the treatment thoroughly. It is very important to me that when they go back to the salon they feel confident that they can deliver the best possible service to their clients. When we set up the Beauty Training Hub we knew that 1:1 training for all students was a must and it has been more successful than we could’ve imagined. It is our USP as most other training is carried out in a college-style environment. When a student comes to us we feel like a family, it’s a relaxed yet professional environment where everyone feels comfortable. Knowledge Exchange (KE) is a collaborative, creative endeavour that translates knowledge and research into impact in society and the economy (a definition agreed by global KE/TT alliance, ATTP). PraxisAuril is the UK’s professional association for KE practitioners working in universities, private and public sector research organisations to manage IP commercialisation, collaboration and other types of engagement between researchers and external organisations to deliver social and economic impact through innovation and enhanced productivity and skills. Based in the UK but global in reach, our network includes 4000+ active KE practitioners from more than 182 member organisations as well as key sector stakeholders, industry service providers, and business representatives. Our core mission is to Develop, Promote and Connect our members and the work that they do to ensure that the UK derives economic, social and creative impact from its world-leading research base. Our national training programme is admired around the world for the quality of it content and the knowledge of the expert practitioners who deliver it. We have trained over 5,300 Knowledge Exchange practitioners from 40 countries, including 400 in China. PraxisAuril is a founding member of the Alliance of Technology Transfer Professionals (ATTP), driving global professional standards and recognition through RTTP accreditation. Since 2002 the Cambridge-based executive team, led by Maxine Ficarra, has worked with hundreds of expert practitioner volunteers to extend the organisation’s professional development, membership and advocacy activities nationally and internationally. Cram School was established in 1869, creating a new school district out of the Warm Springs District. In 1869, Lewis F. Cram saw a need for a school in the eastern part of the valley. He had two sons of his own, and more families were settling in the area of Cramville, (where the Village Lakes development is today). The new school district was separated from the Warm Springs district, and Lewis Cram donated land south of Base Line and under the point of the bluff. Neighbors came with hammers and saws to help build the first, one-room, clapboard schoolhouse. The increase in the citrus industry and the population rendered the 1882 Cram school outdated and outgrown. A Mission-style building was constructed on the same site, in front of the earlier building. Eight grades were taught at the Cram School until 1907, when the Cram high school students attended Redlands High School. Another change occurred in 1917, when seventh and eighth graders attended Redlands Jr. High School for the first time. The Cram School District was administered by an elected school board under the San Bernardino Schools system until 1957, when it was absorbed into the Redlands School District. In 1958, 56 years after the construction of the 1902 school building, a new school was erected. It was situated below the 1902 site, with the entrance facing Elder Gulch Road. The new schoolhouse was a one-story building with six classrooms. Portable classrooms were brought in later to handle the growing needs of the school. But the school could not keep up with the demands of the growing population.
