#DiverseEd has moved from being a grassroots network to Diverse Educators Ltd. We have evolved into a training company due to the demands of our community. We are committed to moving the agenda forwards regarding Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in our school system. We work with state schools, independent schools and international schools to support them with their DEI strategy and their DEI training needs. We believe that we are stronger, and that we can go further together, in collaboration. Thus we collaborate with a number of national and international organisations. Citizen Network is a movement to advance equality and justice around the world. We started Citizen Network because we need to celebrate human diversity and stand up for human equality. We need to work together and to behave like citizens, reject division and create more inclusive communities that welcome people with all their different gifts. Development The idea of Citizen Network was first developed by the Centre for Welfare Reform in 2015 in Sheffield, England. At the Claiming Full Citizenship: Self Determination, Personalization and Individualized Funding 2015 International Conference in Vancouver, Canada which was hosted by what is now the Canadian Institute for Inclusion and Citizenship these initial ideas turned into a commitment to create an active network to support learning and and cooperative action on equal citizenship. Planning for Citizen Network continued in partnership with people and organisations in Finland and Australia then on 17th November 2016, Citizen Network was officially launched at the Manawanui International Conference in Auckland, New Zealand. We encouraged people and individuals to join the network for free and we worked with organisations around the world to support people to take on coordination roles in order to advance Citizen Network's work. There are currently over 800 individual members and over 200 group members.

Megzi Pearls workshops are individually tailored and focus on different themes – including religious holidays, celebrations and feel-good sessions. We work to bring all members of the community together, exploring different cultures in an inclusive and friendly setting. We understand that organisations have different budgets to work with and outcomes to meet. Megzi Pearls are happy to adapt the workshops to meet specific needs and ensure that finance is not a barrier to inclusion. Attendees come together in a non-judgemental safe space to learn floristry skills, share experiences and make friends. Megzi Pearls facilitators are fully ensured, hold enhanced DBS checks and have received full safeguarding training. DSCF1044.jpeg IMG_0954.jpeg Seasonal Flower Masterclass The Megzi Pearls Seasonal Flower Masterclass takes place over 2 hours, and involves creating any of the following: hanging basket arrangements, hand-tied posies, oasis table arrangements, wreaths and rustic jam jar arrangements. The sessions start with an introduction from founder Megan Kavanagh; as the session develops, attendees share tools, learn to identify flowers and grow in confidence. As conversations unfold, participants share their own lived experiences and find commonality with those around them, strengthening the community and resulting in beautiful arrangements to take home.

Disability North is a registered charity (no. 514733) promoting inclusion, independence and choice for disabled people and their families by providing information, advice and support on any aspect of disability. Services are also provided for students or professionals working in the statutory, voluntary and the public sector. We are a user-led charity with a constitutional majority of disabled people on our executive committee. The needs of disabled people, older adults and their families are at the heart of our services and our free, impartial advice empowers them to make informed decisions, maximizing the control they have over their own lives. Our Mission: To promote inclusion, independence and choice for disabled people and their families. Our Vision: To be the best resource for Disability in the North History: The Charity was originally known as Newcastle Council for the Disabled working from Mea House in Newcastle. In the early nineteen eighties Newcastle City Council offered the land now known as the Dene Centre to the Council for the Disabled with the proviso that they raise part of the funds to build the regions centre of excellence for disability. The Council for the Disabled accepted the challenge and the funds were raised. The centre was officially opened in 1985. In 1995 the Charity changed its name and became Disability North.
