Garden waste collections are an optional service to homes with gardens, for a
small yearly subscription charge. The charge for 2022 to 2023 is £40 (the
subscription is non-refundable once the subscription starts). This gives a
weekly collection of a 240 litre brown garden waste bin. You can pay for more
than one 240 litre bin if you need them. All subscriptions made from 1 April
2022 onwards will end on 31 March 2023. The price is fixed, so if you buy a
subscription after April you will pay the same price as for a full year. If you
don't have a garden waste subscription and need to dispose of garden waste, you
can visit the Reuse and Recycling Centre or purchase some garden waste sacks.
Your garden waste bin cannot be used for food waste - you should use the free
separate collection of food waste. You can use your garden waste bin only for
organic waste which can be composted, including: grass and hedge cuttings,
leaves, flowers, weeds plants, twigs and branches (no more than 10cm diameter)
