Because we believe that every child has the right to learn how to thrive online, we have created an experiential learning environment for pupils to learn about their relationship with screens. Embracing the benefits of the internet. We make children aware of the risks of being online, but we also want them to see the internet as a place to find knowledge, fun and friendships. Learning through play. We create the opportunity for valuable teaching moments through structured play, which we know engages pupils more than the traditional ‘chalk and talk’ approach. Going above and beyond the curriculum. With Natterhub’s resources, teachers can not only deliver against the demands of the online safety curriculum, but create truly impactful digital citizenship lessons through which we can demonstrate tangible progress. A sandbox environment The walled garden Natterhub environment gives children the skills they need to safely step into the online world on their own device. And we have all the information that parents need to be digitally savvy. So much more than online safety. Natterhub teaches children to approach the internet with kindness, empathy, resilience and critical thinking - skills that will last them a lifetime. Following on from extensive school based research, Natterhub was built and designed to create the most impact for pupils to develop critical thinking skills associated with being online. With metacognition at the heart of the project, we have continued to reflect and adapt our product in order for it to provide schools with the highest quality digital literacy education. We’ve been supported by TwinklHive, and are closely aligned with safeguarding organisations like the NSPCC and the Internet Watch Foundation (IWF).

I trained as a Careers Adviser in 2007-8 after a long career working in the charity sector in a range of roles including managing a Volunteer Centre, working with community groups, managing volunteers and recruiting learners to courses run in the community. Some of my more unusual jobs have involved working in a Youth Hostel in the Yorkshire Dales, working on a sheep farm for two years in Australia and being a Tour Guide in a monastery. Being a Careers Adviser has been a great way of combining my two main passions – helping people achieve their goals and researching and disseminating information. An optimist by nature, I believe that everyone has skills, talents and abilities. Sometimes individuals need help uncovering these and with communicating them clearly to employers or with working out their next step on their career journey. I have certainly benefitted myself over the years from the support of various career professionals. Between 2013 – 2017 I was employed as a Careers Adviser delivering a national contract for adults seeking careers advice. Whilst I loved the work I became increasingly frustrated by the limitations of the contract which prevented many clients getting what they really needed support with. I realised the only way to be able to provide an excellent client-centred service was by providing it myself! And so I launched my own business. For your peace of mind I have Professional Indemnity Insurance and am a member of the national Career Development Institute (CDI). As a Registered Professional on the CDI register I am required to carry out 25 hours per year of Continuous Professional Development. I’m really interested in being the Best Career Consultant I can be so I regularly attend training and information events in order to develop my skills and knowledge.

The Sapphire Project Organisation is an exciting new modern-day service for adults age 18 and over living with a learning disability. We want to understand what people want from their support, and to make sure that families and friends know how we will help them to make it happen. We offer a unique learning environment for our service users and although support needs may differ, we know that with the right support, people with learning disabilities can live full and meaningful lives. Aims Our aim is for service users to develop competence, respect, dignity, responsibility, independence and to promote their inclusion within the local working community. Working closely with service users we aim to find out what their passions are and wherever possible assist with overcoming challenges and removing barriers in order to enable them to live more fulfilling lives. What we offer Service users are offered the opportunity to develop transferable work skills, enterprise skills, independence skills, practical skills and social skills all within a variety of settings while being supported by qualified staff. Our project includes a café, a licensed bar and a kitchen garden all of which is open to the general public. We also offer a opportunities to develop general maintenance and wood working skills. Service users also have the opportunity to carry out a number of routine domestic tasks to help develop their independent living skills. These include, planning and shopping, cooking meals, basic housekeeping, getting out and about in the community and residential experiences. We support people in developing work and independence skills whilst having fun and making friends. Our aim is to break down barriers and to promote inclusion within the local community. What Makes Us Unique? We want to offer people the chance to learn valuable life skills along with work skills and our base at Hillsborough Arena provides us with numerous opportunities to achieve this objective. We offer an attractive, non-institutional environment with a team of committed staff with a very low rate of staff turnover, so people can develop strong, beneficial relationships over many years. We also offer a dedicated key worker to overlook and support the needs of both the service user along with the parent/carers. We want to understand what people want from their support, and make sure that families and friends know how we will help them to make it happen.
