SAYiT is a registered charity (no: 1177477) which has a long history of working with young people in Sheffield. In 1999, we were set up as the Sheena Amos Youth Trust in recognition of a local NHS manager who worked tirelessly to provide sexual health care to those under 20. Sheena died of breast cancer five years earlier, but her legacy lives on through SAYiT’s efforts to carry her vision forward. Today, we provide support and social opportunities for young people who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, or affected by HIV. SAYiT works with young people aged from 12 to 25, including those who are most vulnerable or marginalised. Our range of groups provide expert practical advice, emotional support and social opportunities for those who need them – no questions asked.

I trained as a Careers Adviser in 2007-8 after a long career working in the charity sector in a range of roles including managing a Volunteer Centre, working with community groups, managing volunteers and recruiting learners to courses run in the community. Some of my more unusual jobs have involved working in a Youth Hostel in the Yorkshire Dales, working on a sheep farm for two years in Australia and being a Tour Guide in a monastery. Being a Careers Adviser has been a great way of combining my two main passions – helping people achieve their goals and researching and disseminating information. An optimist by nature, I believe that everyone has skills, talents and abilities. Sometimes individuals need help uncovering these and with communicating them clearly to employers or with working out their next step on their career journey. I have certainly benefitted myself over the years from the support of various career professionals. Between 2013 – 2017 I was employed as a Careers Adviser delivering a national contract for adults seeking careers advice. Whilst I loved the work I became increasingly frustrated by the limitations of the contract which prevented many clients getting what they really needed support with. I realised the only way to be able to provide an excellent client-centred service was by providing it myself! And so I launched my own business. For your peace of mind I have Professional Indemnity Insurance and am a member of the national Career Development Institute (CDI). As a Registered Professional on the CDI register I am required to carry out 25 hours per year of Continuous Professional Development. I’m really interested in being the Best Career Consultant I can be so I regularly attend training and information events in order to develop my skills and knowledge.

Handle With Care Training Ltd was started in 1994 by Philip and Janet Norcliffe, as a small firm absolutely committed to the delivery of the highest quality Health Care Training and Education. Philip was then a Senior Lecturer in Nursing Studies at the University of Sheffield, with special responsibility for Moving and Handling training. He has since retired from the university and now works full-time for Handle With Care Training Ltd. Our business is customer focused, responsive to the employer’s needs, carers’ needs and the users of the service, from front of house, accommodating customer needs and delivering tailored courses in a timely manner to a professional standard. We deliver training in a learner-friendly way to service users, their families, volunteers, home care staff, carers and nurses. Supplying Free Training to Mexborough Mexborough Resource and Training Centre is located on the corner of Hampden Road/Dolcliffe Road in central Mexborough, easily accessible by car or public transport. Mexborough is in the catchment area for Barnsley, Rotherham and Doncaster, an often-overlooked fabulous central point for people wishing to access this area of South Yorkshire. The resource centre was recently purchased by Peter Newman, a local businessman, who is also the owner of Mexborough Business Centre. Aquired in December 2015 Peter and his team have successfully built up its tenancy from 25% to 90% capacity, whilst securing an ongoing commitment to the restoration of this original Victorian building. We are hoping to attract training companies looking for new venues in the South Yorkshire area. We will work alongside Mexborough Community Partnership, a social enterprise, who are already based at the Resource Centre in a bid to also attract more community/charity groups who require space and funding.

With the full glass cockpit, 4k surround resolution viewing, flight management system and automatic flight director system , overhead systems and audio pedestal systems you can practice all areas of preparation training and real life flying. As the simulator has control loading / flight feel, you will be able to practice any scenario and feel the condition of the aircraft at all times. You may fancy doing a `SULLY` bird strike emergency landing or a recovery from a stall. The simulator has been constructed by ourselves to the highest standard, with the state of the art powerful computers and graphics cards and has been meticulously tested to ensure constant accurate flight feel and reliability. At Britannia Flight Simulator we are used to a varied pilot experience, and our tutor have exposure to this on a daily basis and will adapt to your needs. Pre flight briefings and debriefs are standard for the less experience pilot if they wish to have them, inexperienced or experienced pilots may just want to be left alone with the simulator to do as they wish with different scenarios and emergencies at the click of a button. The simulator itself might not move, but for the aviation enthusiast among us, this realistic flight simulator has a real throttle quandrant with speedbrake, reverse thrust levers and flaps, fully functioning PFDs & NFDs (that’s Primary & Navigational Flight Displays), hydraulics, electrics, APU (that’s the Auxiliary Power Unit), bleed air, oxygen and pressurisation systems. Indeed, stepping up to the flight deck and into the left hand captain’s seat, if you ever thought pilot’s had a easy life with their feet up whilst the autopilot did all the hard work, think again. As the precious cargo of passengers are boarding, the captain and first officer are busy doing route briefings, entering the data into the Flight Management Computer and executing a pre-flight checklist. On the longer experiences (2hours and above) you will follow those airline Standard Operating Procedures (yes, you guessed it - SOPs!). That means you get to do all those critical checks and controls before you ‘take off’ and again when you have completed your landing checks and given the cabin crew the ‘doors to arrival and crosscheck’ command. About eQuiPT Therapeutic Service Suzanne and Sandra are the therapists behind eQuiPT Therapeutic Services. They both have a wealth of experience of working with children and families and are passionate about supporting children and families. They have been Play and Filial Therapists for over 13 years and are committed to helping children who struggle with emotional, social and behavioural difficulties.
